2018 European Badminton Championships
The 2018 European Badminton Championships were the 27th tournament of the European Badminton Championships. They were held in Huelva, Spain, from 24–29 April 2018. Tournament The 2018 European Badminton Championships is the 27th edition of the championships. This tournament was awarded to Carolina Marín's hometown Huelva following a decision adopted by the Executive Committee of Badminton Europe and made public at the General Assembly of the aforementioned organization that took place in Prague, Czech Republic. The candidature led by the Spanish Badminton Federation in collaboration with the city of Huelva, the Regional Government of Andalusia, the Deputation of Huelva and the Andalusian Badminton Federation will organize the European Championships to be played between 24 and 29 April 2018. Palacio De Los Deportes Carolina Marín
Palacio de los Deportes Carolina Marín is a Spanish sports complex in the city of Huelva, in Andalusia, Spain. Her name is a tribute to the Huelva badminton player Carolina Marín. It is the most important indoor sports facility with the largest capacity in all of Huelva and the province. The Palacio de los Deportes has hosted CB Ciudad de Huelva matches since they moved from the Andrés Estrada Sports Center. They began playing at the Palacio in 1999-00, until his disappearance in 2008; being the modern pavilion in which the Huelva team fought to return to the Liga ACB, being about to achieve it in the 2004–05 and 2006–07 seasons. Line Højmark Kjærsfeldt (born 20 April 1994) is a Danish badminton player specializing in singles. She won a bronze medal at the 2010 BWF World Junior Championships in the women's doubles with Sandra-Maria Jensen. Kjærsfeldt also won a gold medal in 2015 European Games. Career Kjærsfeldt began to playing badminton at the age of eight, and started to playing competitively at the age of 15. Mia Blichfeldt (born 19 August 1997) is a Danish badminton player. She won the gold medals at the 2015 European Junior Championships in the girls' singles event, and later at the 2019 Minsk European Games in the women's singles event. He was a champion at the 2013 Mediterranean Games, won a silver medal at the 2015 European Games, and a bronze medal at the 2018 European Championships. Theratil Rajiv Ouseph (born 30 August 1986) is a former badminton player from England who represented both England and Great Britain in the international tournaments.
