2018 Asia Rugby Women's Sevens Series
The 2018 Asia Rugby Women's Sevens Series was the nineteenth edition of Asia's continental sevens tournament. The series will be played over three legs in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Sri Lanka. The top two teams that are not already core teams on the 2018–19 World Rugby Women's Sevens Series will earn qualification to the 2019 Hong Kong Women's Sevens for a chance to earn core team status for the following World Series. 2017 Asia Rugby Women's Sevens Series
The 2017 Asia Rugby Women's Sevens Series is the eighteenth edition of Asia's continental sevens tournament for women. The lower tier Trophy, which serves as a qualifier for the series, was held in Laos. The Series will be played over two legs hosted in South Korea and Sri Lanka. Colombo Racecourse
Colombo Racecourse ( si, කොළඹ තුරඟ තරඟ පිටිය) is a historical harness racing course in the Cinnamon Gardens, Colombo. During the Second World War, it was used as a temporary airfield. In 2012, it was redeveloped as the Colombo Racecourse Sports Complex to become the first International Rugby Union ground in Sri Lanka to host all the national rugby union side's home matches. In 2014, the ground went through a major renovation, which included installation of floodlights and the conversion of a substantial part of the grandstand into a shopping and dining complex. The ground hosted the 2022 SAFF U-17 Championship. The 2018 Asia Rugby Sevens Series was the tenth edition of Asia's continental sevens circuit. Sri Lanka Sevens
The Sri Lanka Sevens is an annual international rugby sevens tournament held in Sri Lanka. Sponsored by telecommunications provider Dialog Axiata, Dialog, the event has been part of the Asian Sevens Series since 2015. It was founded in 1999 as the Singer Sri Lankan Airlines Rugby 7s. For ten seasons from 1999 to 2008, the tournament was hosted by the Kandy Sports Club (rugby), Kandy Sports Club at the Bogambara Stadium in Kandy. National men's teams from Asia and Europe were regular competitors. The event moved to Colombo for the 2009 and 2010 seasons after the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union formed a partnership with the Namal Rajapaksa#Tharunyata Hetak, Tharunyata Hetak youth organisation to organise the Sri Lanka Sevens tournament.
