2018 AFC Women's Futsal Championship Squads
The following is a list of squads for each national team competing at the 2018 AFC Women's Futsal Championship. The tournament will take place during May 2018 in Thailand. It will be the 2nd competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the women's national teams of Asia. Each team must register a squad of 14 players, minimum two of whom must be goalkeepers. The full squad listings are below. 2018 AFC Women's Futsal Championship
The 2018 AFC Women's Futsal Championship was the second edition of the AFC Women's Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the women's national teams of Asia. It took place in Thailand, which was appointed as hosts by the AFC on 29 July 2017, between 2 and 12 May 2018. The tournament was originally to be held between 15–26 August 2017, two years after the inaugural edition in 2015, but was postponed to the following year. A total of 15 teams participated in the tournament. The 15 teams were divided into four groups (one with three teams and three with four teams), with the group winners and the best runner-up advancing to the quarter-finals. The tournament served as qualifying for the futsal tournament at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, with the winner and the runner-up qualifying for the girls' tournament, to be represented by their under-18 representative teams. Wai Yuen Ting (; born 15 October 1992) is a Hong Kong footballer who plays as a midfielder for Thai Women's League 1. club Chonburi FA (Women). Kitchee Sports Club (; ; ) is a Hong Kong professional Association football, football club based in Kowloon. It was founded in 1931 and currently competes in the Hong Kong Premier League. Brisbane Roar Women Football Club, formerly known Queensland Roar Women, is an Australian professional women's football club based in Brisbane, Queensland (founded in 2008). Cheung Wai Ki (born 22 January 1990) is a Hong Kong football player who played as a midfielder for Citizen in the Hong Kong Women League and for Brisbane Roar in the Australian W-League. She also represents Hong Kong internationally in football and in futsal. Club career Citizen After being in the Hong Kong Rangers youth system, Cheung helped Citizen win their 3rd Hong Kong Women League title in the 2014–15 season, and was the league's top scorer with 31 goals. The Citizen Athletic Association (), simply known as Citizen or TCAA, is a Hong Kong athletic club. Its football team () currently competes in the Hong Kong First Division. The club has a long history in playing in the top-tier Hong Kong First Division, but decided to self-relegate in the 2013–14 season after declining to participate in the newly established Hong Kong Premier League.
