2017–18 Utah Jazz Season
The 2017–18 Utah Jazz season was the 44th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the 39th season of the franchise in Salt Lake City. On the 4th of July, Gordon Hayward announced his departure from the Jazz and signed with the Boston Celtics. Despite that, the Jazz clinched a playoff berth for the second straight year after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers on April 8, 2018. They finished the regular season with 48–34, which clinched the 5th seed. In the playoffs, the Jazz faced the 4th seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in the First Round, winning in six games and advancing to the Semifinals for the second consecutive season, where they faced the top-seeded Houston Rockets, losing in five games. Quin Snyder
Quin Price Snyder (born October 30, 1966) is an American basketball coach who most recently served as the head coach for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). After being named a McDonald's All American as a high school player in Washington, he played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. He was the head coach of the Jazz for eight seasons, and known for being an offensive minded tactician. Early life Snyder was born in Mercer Island, Washington, and graduated from Mercer Island High School in 1985. A two-time state basketball player of the year, Snyder led the team to the 1985 state championship. During this time Mercer Island achieved a No. 1 ranking in USA Today's high school polls. Vivint Smart Home Arena
Vivint Arena (stylized as vivint arena), formerly known as Delta Center, EnergySolutions Arena and Vivint Smart Home Arena, is an indoor arena located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Joe Ingles
Joseph Howarth Ingles (born 2 October 1987) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also represents the Australian national team. He primarily plays at the small forward position. He is the Utah Jazz all-time leader in three-pointers made. Ingles was part of the Australian basketball team that won bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Rodney Hood
Rodney Michael Hood (born October 20, 1992) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Mississippi State and Duke before declaring for the NBA Draft. Hood was drafted in 2014 by the Utah Jazz; and in 2018, he was dealt to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Sydney Kings are an Australian men's professional basketball team competing in the National Basketball League (NBL). The team is based in Sydney, New South Wales. NBA G League
The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. Antonio Maurice Lang (born May 15, 1972) is an American former professional basketball player who currently serves as an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball at Duke, where he won back-to-back NCAA tournaments in 1991 and 1992. Igor Stefan Kokoškov ( sr-Cyrl, Игор Стефан Кокошков; born December 17, 1971) is a Serbian professional basketball coach who is an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Alex Jensen
Alex Jensen (born May 16, 1976) is an American former professional basketball player, and current assistant coach for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was a standout college player at the University of Utah. College career Jensen, Utah's 1994 Mr. Basketball from Centerville, played for coach Rick Majerus at Utah. As a freshman, he averaged 24.8 minutes, 6.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Following his first season, Jensen left to complete a two-year Latter-day Saint mission in England.
