2017–18 Ukrainian Second League
The 2017–18 Ukrainian Second League was the 27th season since its establishment. The competition commenced on 14 July 2017. The league returned to the multiple group competition format after it was abandoned in 2013. Final composition of the league was approved at the PFL Conference on 21 June 2017. The current season competition is in a triple round robin format for each group. Group A commenced their winter break after the Round 7 postponed match was played on 12 November 2017. Group B will begin their winter break after the completion of Round 22 on 19 November 2017. Group B competitions resumed the spring session on 30 March 2018 and Group A on 31 March 2018. Teams On 21 June 2017, it was announced that 25 teams will play in two divisions, but later FC Balkany Zorya was transferred to the 2017–18 Ukrainian First League and FC Cherkaskyi Dnipro-2 withdrew from the competition, leaving 23 teams in the field. FC Podillya Khmelnytskyi
FC Podillya Khmelnytskyi is a professional Ukrainian football team that is based in Khmelnytskyi, Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Ukraine. The club competes in the Ukrainian Second League. History Soviet era Established in the Soviet Union as part of the Dynamo sports society in 1926 as Dynamo Proskurov (Proskuriv), the club participated mostly in championships of the city and its region. In 1940 and 1941, it represented the region in the republican competitions among the sports societies of Ukraine. During World War II, the Soviet sports competitions were suspended and the club was disbanded. After the World War II, Podillya once again started out as a subsection of the Soviet Dynamo athletic franchise in 1948, under the name of Dynamo, of course. PFC Nyva Ternopil
FC Nyva Ternopil ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Нива» Тернопіль) is a Ukrainian football club from the city of Ternopil, the administrative center of Ternopil Oblast. 2000–01 Ukrainian Second League
The 2000–01 Ukrainian Second League was the tenth season of 3rd level professional football in Ukraine. The competitions were divided into three groups according to geographical location in the country – A is western Ukraine, B is southern Ukraine and Crimea, and C is eastern Ukraine. The groups were won respectively by FC Polissya Zhytomyr, FC Obolon Kyiv and FC Naftovyk Okhtyrka. FC Polissya Zhytomyr
Polissya Zhytomyr is a Ukrainian football club based in Zhytomyr, Polissya. As of the 2020–21 season, it will play in the Ukrainian First League, the second tier of Ukrainian football, following promotion from the 2019–20 Ukrainian Second League. Their home were Spartak and Kolos stadiums. Since being admitted to the Ukrainian Second League, the club's current stadiums do not qualify for the competition. While the city's main arena under reconstruction, the club is forced to look for an alternative. Brief history In Soviet times the club carried the name ''Avtomobilist'' (car maker), then it changed to ''Polissya'' (the name for the local region, which means (roughly) the wooded area). 2016–17 Ukrainian Football Amateur League
The 2016–17 Ukrainian Football Amateur League season was the 21st since it replaced the competition of physical culture clubs. The competition started on 13 August 2016. There were two groups with 12 teams in Group A and 12 teams in Group B. The last season winner FC Balkany Zorya has participated in professional Second League. On 29 August 2016, SC Tavriya Simferopol was admitted to the competition. FC Zoria-Akademiia Biloziria ( uk, Черкащина-Академія Білозір'я) is an amateur Ukrainian football club from the city of Biloziria, Cherkasy Raion. It was a farm club of the FC Cherkashchyna and was known as formerly FC Cherkaskyi Dnipro-2 and FC Cherkashchyna-Akademiia-2 Biloziria. History The club was formed in 1965. In 2010's, FC Zoria Biloziria became one of the best amateur teams in the Cherkasy Oblast Championship. In 2010, the team won the Oblast Cup and were runners-up in the Oblast Championship. The following season they were once again silver medalists in the Oblast Championship. 2017–18 Ukrainian First League
The 2017–18 Ukrainian First League was the 27th since its establishment. The competition commenced on 14 July 2017 when Zhemchuzhyna Odesa hosted MFC Mykolaiv. After the completion of Round 22 on 18 November 2017, the competition entered a winter break and resumed the spring session on 18 March 2018 and complete the competition on 19 May 2018. Teams On 21 June 2017, it was announced that 16 or 18 teams would play in the competition. This decision was dependent on the possible withdrawal of FC Stal Kamianske from the Premier League. Due to sanctions, FC Dnipro was relegated directly to the Second League which raised a discussion of a promotion possibly of another club to the First League. In addition in the case of the withdrawal of Stal, Desna had an opportunity to be accepted to the Ukrainian Premier League with another ongoing inter-season case (see Desna vs Veres promotion) leaving the First League with 16 participants. FC Balkany Zorya
FC Balkany Zorya ( uk, ФК Балкани Зоря, FK Balkany Zorya) is a professional Ukrainian football team that is based in the village of Zorya, Sarata Raion in the region of Budjak, Odesa Oblast. History The club was founded in 2007 as FC Zorya in the ethnically Bulgarian village of Zorya that was founded in 1831 by resettlers from Bulgaria which is located on the Balkan peninsula. In the first year of the founding of the club managed to take second place in the championship of Sarata Raion.
