2017–18 Trans-Tasman Tri-Series
The 2017–18 Trans-Tasman Tri-Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that was held in Australia and New Zealand in February 2018. It was a tri-nation series between Australia, England and New Zealand. It followed on from England's tour of Australia, which included the 2017–18 Ashes series, and took the place of the planned Chappell–Hadlee Trophy series. It was the first T20I tri-series contested by full ICC members. Australia qualified for the final after winning their first three matches. They were joined in the final by New Zealand, who despite losing to England in their final group match, qualified on net run rate. Australia won the final against New Zealand, beating them by 19 runs by the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method, after a rain-affected match. Glenn Maxwell
Glenn James Maxwell (born 14 October 1988) is an Australian professional cricketer, who represents Australia national cricket team in One Day International and Twenty20 International formats of the game and has played Test cricket for Australia. Maxwell is an all-rounder who bats right handed and bowl off break. He represents Victoria and Melbourne Stars in Australian domestic cricket. Chappell–Hadlee Trophy
The Chappell–Hadlee Trophy in cricket is a One Day International cricket series between Australia and New Zealand. It is named after legendary cricketing families from the two countries: the Chappell brothers (Ian, Gregory, and Trevor) of Australia, and Walter Hadlee and his three sons (Barry, Dayle and Sir Richard) of New Zealand. The trophy is currently held by Australia, after they defeated New Zealand 3–0 in the 2022–23 series at home. Australia have recorded seven series wins to New Zealand's four. The trophy was contested annually from 2004–05 until 2009–10 as a three- or five-match series, and as a one-match series during the group stage of the World Cups in 2011 and 2015. D'Arcy Short
D'Arcy John Matthew Short (born 9 August 1990) is an Australian international cricketer, who plays One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for the Australian national team. Kane William Richardson (born 12 February 1991) is an Australian international cricketer who plays domestic cricket for the Melbourne Renegades. Christopher Austin Lynn (born 10 April 1990) is an Australian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman who plays for Queensland in Australian domestic cricket. Travis Michael Head (born 29 December 1993) is an Australian international cricketer. He is contracted to South Australia and the Adelaide Strikers for domestic matches. Aaron James Finch (born 17 November 1986) is a Australian international cricketer who captains the Australian cricket team in T20I and formerly captained the national team in ODI cricket. Benjamin James Dwarshuis (born 23 June 1994) is an Australian cricketer. He made his international debut for the Australia cricket team in April 2022. Wicket-keeper
The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises. Alex Carey (cricketer)
Alex Tyson Carey (born 27 August 1991) is an Australian international cricketer. Formerly an Australian rules footballer, he is currently a wicket-keeper who plays for the Australian national team in all formats. Ashton Charles Agar (born 14 October 1993) is an Australian cricketer who has played all forms of the game at international level. Captain (cricket)
The captain of a cricket team, often referred to as the skipper, is the appointed leader, having several additional roles and responsibilities over and above those of the other players.
