2017–18 San Antonio Spurs Season
The 2017–18 San Antonio Spurs season was the 51st season for the franchise, the team's 42nd season in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and its 45th in the San Antonio area. The Spurs finished the season with a 47–35 record and the seventh seed in the Western Conference. In the first round of the playoffs, the team was defeated in five games by the defending champion and eventual NBA champion Golden State Warriors, the team that swept them in last season's Western Conference Finals. The 2017–18 season was the final season that Tony Parker and Manu Ginóbili played for the team, and Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green would be traded following the season to the Toronto Raptors. Gregg Popovich
Gregg Charles Popovich (born January 28, 1949) is an American professional basketball coach and executive who is the president and head coach of the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Taking over as coach of the Spurs in 1996, Popovich is the longest tenured active coach in the NBA as well as all other major sports leagues in the United States. Danny Green (basketball)
Daniel Richard Green Jr. (born June 22, 1987) is an American professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the University of North Carolina (UNC), where he played in more games (145) and had more wins (123) than any Tar Heel before him. Green is also the only player in the history of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) with at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 250 assists, 150 three-pointers, 150 blocks and 150 steals. Chip Engelland
Arthur Edward "Chip" Engelland III (born May 9, 1961) is an American basketball coach and former professional player. He is currently an assistant coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA). James Borrego
James Borrego (born November 12, 1977) is an American professional basketball coach who most recently served as the head coach of the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association. Jaron Samuel Blossomgame (born September 16, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for AS Monaco of the LNB Pro A and the Euroleague. Blossomgame played college basketball for Clemson University and was selected in the second round of the 2017 NBA draft by the San Antonio Spurs. Colorado Buffaloes Men's Basketball
The Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team represents the University of Colorado Boulder. The team competes in the Pac-12 Conference of NCAA Division I. They are currently coached by Tad Boyle. Derrick White (born July 2, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played three years of college basketball in Division II for the UCCS Mountain Lions before transferring to the Division I Colorado Buffaloes for his final season. The 1997–98 NBA season was the Spurs' 22nd season in the National Basketball Association, and 31st season as a franchise. This season is most memorable when the Spurs selected Tim Duncan out of Wake Forest University with the first overall pick in the 1997 NBA draft. After finishing with the third-worst record in 1996–97, the Spurs won the 1997 NBA Draft Lottery, dubbed as the "Tim Duncan Sweepstakes".
