2017–18 Sacramento Kings Season
The 2017–18 Sacramento Kings season was the 73rd season of the franchise, its 69th season in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and its 33rd in Sacramento. With the Minnesota Timberwolves clinching their first winning record and playoff berth since 2003–04, the Kings now hold the current league record of most seasons without a winning record as well as the longest postseason drought, both at 12, with their last winning season and playoff appearance being a 44–38 record and a First Round defeat to the San Antonio Spurs in six games in the 2005–06 season. Dave Joerger
David Joerger ( [YAY-ger]) (born February 21, 1974) is an American professional basketball coach who serves as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was the head coach of the Dakota Wizards from 2000 to 2004 and in 2006–2007 in the International Basketball Association, Continental Basketball Association, and the NBA Development League, winning championships in 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2007. He also coached the Sioux Falls Skyforce from 2004 to 2006, winning a championship in 2005. In the NBA, Joerger served as head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies from 2013 to 2016, and Sacramento Kings from 2016 to 2019. The Los Angeles Clippers are a professional basketball team based in Los Angeles, California. Frank Leo Mason III (born April 3, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for SLUC Nancy Basket of the LNB Pro A. He played college basketball for the University of Kansas, where he was the starting point guard for the Jayhawks. Harry Lee Giles III (born April 22, 1998) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Agua Caliente Clippers of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. High school career Freshman and sophomore seasons Giles attended Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point, North Carolina. Justin Aaron Jackson (born March 28, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). 1969–70 Detroit Pistons Season
The 1969–70 NBA season was the Detroit Pistons' 22nd season in the NBA and 13th season in the city of Detroit. The team played at Cobo Arena in Detroit. It was a challenging season for Detroit, which started in the pre-season when rising star Dave Bing signed a future contract with the Washington Caps of the rival American Basketball Association. Bing would re-sign with the Pistons the following season when the Washington ABA team moved to Virginia. The team also changed coaches, bringing in Butch Van Breda Kolff, who had been forced out from the Los Angeles Lakers after feuding with star Wilt Chamberlain. 1956–57 Fort Wayne Pistons Season
The 1956–57 NBA season was the Pistons' ninth season in the NBA, 16th season as a franchise, and the final season for the team in Fort Wayne. The Pistons finished 34-38(.472), the first losing season in five years, finishing in a three-way tie for first in the Western Division, but were seeded third after the St. Louis Hawks defeated both the Pistons and the Minneapolis Lakers in tie-breaking games. In the West Semifinals, the Lakers eliminated the Pistons 2-0. The team was led on the season by forward George Yardley (21.5 ppg, 10. rpg, NBA All-Star) and forward-center Mel Hutchins (12.4 ppg, 7.9 rpg, NBA All-Star).
