2017–18 SSV Jahn Regensburg Season
The 2017–18 SSV Jahn Regensburg season is the 111th season in the club's football history. In 2017–18, the club plays in the 2. Bundesliga, the second tier of German football. It was the club's first season back in this league, having won promotion from the 3. Liga in 2016–17 after a play-off victory over TSV 1860 Munich. The club also took part in the 2017–18 edition of the DFB-Pokal, the German Cup, but was eliminated in the second round. Sport- und Schwimmverein Jahn Regensburg e. V., commonly known as SSV Jahn Regensburg, Jahn Regensburg, SSV Jahn or simply Jahn, is a German football club based in Regensburg, Bavaria. Heiko Herrlich
Heiko Herrlich (born 3 December 1971) is a German football manager and former player who played as a striker. Club career Herrlich played 258 matches (1989–2004) in the Bundesliga and scored 75 goals for Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund. With Borussia Dortmund he won the German championship in 1996 and 2002, the Champions League and the Intercontinental Cup in 1997. With Borussia Mönchengladbach he won the DFB-Pokal in 1995, which he had also won in 1993 with Bayer Leverkusen. In autumn 2000, it was discovered that he had a malignant brain tumor. He was successfully treated with radiation therapy and returned to Bundesliga action 2001 but was not able to return to his former glory as a player. Jonas Nietfeld (born 15 January 1994) is a German professional footballer who plays as a forward for Hallescher FC. Career Nietfeld played as a youth for Hannover 96 before joining Rot-Weiss Erfurt in 2011. TSV Steinbach Haiger is a German Association football, association football club based in Steinbach, near Haiger, Hesse. The club's greatest success has been to earn promotion to the German football league system, tier four Regionalliga Südwest in 2015.
