2017–18 Rochdale A.F.C. Season
The 2017–18 season was Rochdale A.F.C.'s 111th in existence and their fourth consecutive season in League One. Along with competing in League One, the club participated in the FA Cup, EFL Cup and EFL Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018. Rochdale ( ) is a town in Greater Manchester, England, and the administrative centre of the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale. In the United Kingdom 2021 Census, 2021 Census, the town had a population of 111,261, compared to 223,773 for the wider borough. Scott Wiseman
Scott Nigel Kenneth Wiseman (born 9 October 1985) is a current football manager and former professional footballer, who played as a defender, usually being deployed as a right-back. Born in England, Wiseman represented the country at youth level before declaring for the Gibraltar national team, for whom he made 38 appearances over a ten-year period. Upon his retirement as a player in May 2023, he was appointed Women's Football Development manager for the Gibraltar Football Association. He also currently serves as head coach for both the senior and under-19 women's national teams. In March 2025, he was as head coach of the men's national team, initially as interim coach. Jordan Williams (footballer, Born 1992)
Jordan Lee Raymond Williams (born 13 December 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays for Cymru Premier side The New Saints, as a winger. Club career Born in Whiston, Williams grew up supporting Liverpool and played for the youth teams of Penlake Juniors and Ashton Athletic. He graduated to the reserves and first team at Ashton, and then followed the manager to Clitheroe, in May 2012. He departed from the club in November 2012 for Burscough who he played for whilst studying for a teaching degree at nearby Edge Hill University. He moved to Northwich Victoria in summer 2015 where he helped the club progress to the second round of the 2015–16 FA Cup, where over the ten-game run he scored six goals. Callum Jason Noel Camps (born 30 November 1995) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Stockport County. Born in England, he has represented Northern Ireland internationally at youth levels. Club career Rochdale Camps came through the Rochdale youth team to make his senior debut on 13 April 2013, replacing Ashley Grimes 68 minutes into a 2–2 draw with Port Vale at Spotland. Calvin Andrew
Calvin Hyden Andrew (born 19 December 1986) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker. Andrew began his career at Luton Town, debuting in the 2004–05 League One title-winning season. He was loaned out to Grimsby Town and Bristol City before becoming a first-team regular for Luton in the 2007–08 relegation season. Reece Brown (born 1 November 1991) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. He began his career with Manchester United, but failed to break into the first team and after loan spells at Bradford City, Doncaster Rovers, Oldham Athletic, Coventry City and Ipswich Town, he joined Watford in 2013. At the end of the 2013–14 season, he spent a month on loan to Carlisle United, before leaving Watford for Barnsley on a free transfer ahead of the 2014–15 season. He lasted just a season there before joining Bury. He joined Sheffield United for the 2016–17 season, but was released in January 2017 and returned to Bury. Stephen Peter Humphrys (born 15 September 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for side Barnsley. McGahey began his career as a junior with Blackburn Rovers and then Liverpool, before moving to Blackpool where he eventually made his first team debut. Niall David Stephen Canavan (born 11 April 1991) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Barrow. Born in England, he has represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level. Jimmy McNulty (footballer)
Jimmy McNulty (born 13 February 1985) is a player manager who plays as a centre back for, and is manager of, club Rochdale. Career Born in Runcorn, Cheshire, McNulty had trials at both Liverpool and Everton as a schoolboy before choosing to join the latter's academy set-up. McNulty then signed for Wrexham after being released. After several years at Wrexham, he became their reserve team captain. Kgosietsile "Kgosi" Ntlhe ( ; born 21 February 1994) is a South African professional footballer who plays as a defender for English Banbury United.
