Al-Gharafa SC
Al-Gharafa Sports Club ( ar, نادي الغرافة الرياضي) is a Qatari multisports club based in the Al Gharrafa district of Al Rayyan. It is best known for its football team, although it also has teams for other sports. It was established on 6 June 1979 as Al-Ittihad and later officially incorporated into the Qatar Football Association on 23 September of that same year. The club was officially renamed to its current form in 2004 to better represent the district of Al-Gharafa, of which the club belongs to. Al-Markhiya Sports Club ( ar, المرخية) is a Qatari multi-sports club, based in the Al Markhiya district of Doha. Its football department plays in the Qatar Stars League. It was widely regarded as the fastest improving team due to it winning the Second Division league 4 times in the first 5 it has taken part of. It has also entered history by being the first second division club to be promoted to the Qatar Stars League. Al Shamal
Al Shamal ( ar, ٱلشَّمَال, Ash Shamāl) is a municipality in the state of Qatar. Its seat is called ''Madinat ash Shamal'' and it is considered to be one of the major cities in Qatar, although the population is barely over 8,000. The seat's name translates to "city of the north". Ras Rakan, the Qatar Peninsula's northernmost point, is included in the municipality, and as such is surrounded by the Persian Gulf in all directions except for the south. Al-Shamal Stadium () was a proposed association football, football stadium in Ash-Shamal, Qatar. It was proposed as part of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup bid, and would have had a capacity of 45,120. After the World Cup, the stadium would have been downsized to 25,000. The stadium was not built, and other venues would host games at Qatar 2022. Al-Janoub Stadium ( ar, استاد الجنوب, ʾIstād al-Janūb, Stadium of the South), formerly known as Al-Wakrah Stadium (), is a retractable roof football stadium in Al-Wakrah, Qatar that was inaugurated on 16 May 2019.
