2017–18 Pro B Season
The 2017–18 Pro B season was the 31st season of the Pro B, the top basketball league in France organised by the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB). Blois won its first league title. Teams Promotion and relegation Orléans Loiret and SLUC Nancy entered the league after they relegated from the 2016–17 Pro A season. UJAP Quimper 29 and Caen Basket Calvados were promoted from the 2016–17 NM1 season. Regular season In the regular season, teams play against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format. The table leader will promote to the Pro A while the numbers two until nine qualify for the promotion playoffs. The last two placed teams are relegated to the NM1. Standings Promotion playoffs The seven highest ranked seeds in the regular season, excluding the league champions, qualify for the promotion playoffs. Caen Basket Calvados
Caen Basket Calvados is a French basketball team located in the commune of Caen in Northwestern France. The club competes in LNB Pro B, France's second-division men's league. History Caen Basket Club (CBC) was founded in 1959 after the scrapping of older basketball club Stade Malherbe Caennais. This section dissolved in September 1959 and the 80% of the chamber joined the new club, mostly to keep athletes and administrative benefits. The home games are played at the Palais des Sports of Caen (3000 seats). The beginnings of the club was promising despite performance instability. Caen BC finished third in the National Championship 1 A in 1960, before two demotions in 1964 and 1969 that were followed by two lifts in 1966 and 1970. Chorale Roanne Basket is a professional basketball club that is based in Roanne, France. The club plays in the first division LNB Pro A. Their home arena is Halle André Vacheresse. Poitiers Basket 86, also known as PB86 or simply Poitiers, is a French professional basketball team located in the city of Poitiers, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, France. It competes in the French Pro B league. The club's home games are played at Salle de Saint-Eloi except for several matches played at Les Arênes. The players wear white and blue uniforms. History Poitiers Basket 86 was founded in 2004, following the merging of two teams - CEP Poitiers and Stade Poitevin.
