2017–18 Melbourne City FC Season
The 2017–18 Melbourne City FC season was the club's eighth season since its establishment in 2009. The club competed in the A-League for the eighth time and in the FFA Cup for the fourth time. On 19 June 2017, Warren Joyce was appointed manager of the club, Joyce having previously managed the Manchester United Reserves, Royal Antwerp and Wigan Athletic. On 7 November 2017, Joe Montemurro left his position as assistant coach of the club to take up the senior coaching position at Arsenal Women. W-League (Australia)
A-League Women (known as the Liberty A-League for sponsorship reasons), formerly the W-League, is the top-division women's soccer league in Australia. The W-League was established in 2008 by Football Australia (then known as Football Federation Australia) and was originally composed of eight teams of which seven had an affiliation with an existing A-League Men club. As of the 2021–22 season, the league is contested by ten teams. The league, as well as the A-League Men and A-League Youth are administered by the Australian Professional Leagues. Seasons now run from November to April and include a 22-round regular season and an end-of-season finals series playoff tournament involving the highest-placed teams, culminating in a Grand Final match. Dario Vidošić
Dario Vidošić ( ; ; (born 8 April 1987) is a former Australian footballer and current coach who is the interim manager of A-League Women club Melbourne City FC Women. Club career Early life Vidošić was born on 8 April 1987 in Osijek to Croatian parents, mother Jasna and father Rado Vidošić. He moved with his parents from Croatia to Australia in 1988 when his father received an offer to play for the Queensland Lions. The family settled in Brisbane, and he attended Yugumbir State School for his early education at Regents Park, when Dario grew up he attended Cavendish Road State High School. His father has been assistant coach at A-League club Queensland Roar since 2005 and as of May 2008, is the club's National Youth Team coach. Oliver John Bozanic (born 8 January 1989) is an Australian Association football, football player who plays as a midfielder for Perth Glory FC, Perth Glory, on loan from Western Sydney Wanderers FC, Western Sydney Wanderers. Osama "Ozzie" Malik ( ar, أسامة ملك ; born 30 September 1990) is an Australian professional association football, footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or centre-back for Indian Super League club Odisha FC, Odisha. Bart Schenkeveld (; born 28 August 1991) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Greek Super League club Panathinaikos, for which he is captain.
