2017–18 Kerala Blasters FC Season
The 2017–18 season was the fourth season in Kerala Blasters FC's existence, as well as their fourth season in Indian Super League. The club finished the Indian Super League points table in the 6th place, thus missing out the play-offs. The Blasters also made their debut in the inaugural edition of Super Cup during the season, being eliminated in the first round after losing against NEROCA. Following the departure of Steve Coppell to the new side Jamshedpur, Kerala Blasters announced the signing of René Meulensteen as their new head coach on 14 July 2017. The club also participated in the 2017–18 ISL Players Draft, bringing in Rino Anto, Milan Singh, Arata Izumi, Subhasish Roy Chowdhury, and Jackichand Singh. Former Kerala Blasters forward Iain Hume rejoined the side in July while the club also signed former Manchester United players Wes Brown and Dimitar Berbatov in the lead up to the season. Kerala Blasters Football Club (), commonly referred to as The Blasters, is an Indian professional football club based in Kochi, Kerala, that competes in the Indian Super League, the top tier of football in India. The club was established in May 2014 during the inaugural season of the Indian Super League. The club played their inaugural match on 13 October 2014, losing 1–0 to NorthEast United. The Blasters are the three time runners up of the Indian Super League. They first entered the final in 2014, where they lost 1–0 to  ATK after an injury time goal from them. Prasanth Karuthadathkuni Mohan (born 24 June 1997) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Indian Super League club Punjab. Club career Youth and early career Born in Kerala, Prasanth originally began his athletic career as a runner, winning a bronze medal at a state meet in Kozhikode. He then started to play football in 2008 after being convinced to do so by his brother, Pramod. He went on to represent the Kerala under-14 side in 2010 before appearing for selection trials for the AIFF Regional Academy in May 2012. Sandesh Jhingan
Sandesh Jhingan (born 21 July 1993) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defender for the Indian Super League club Bengaluru and the Indian national team. He won the AIFF emerging player of the year award in 2014 and made his debut for the India national side in 2015. 2014 Kerala Blasters FC Season
The 2014 season was the first ever season in Kerala Blasters Football Club's existence after its establishment in May 2014, as well as their first season in the inaugural season of Indian Super League. The club managed to secure qualification for the Indian Super League finals on 9 December 2014, after finishing the regular season in fourth position. They managed to make it to the final, but were defeated by Atlético de Kolkata through a stoppage time goal. The Blasters signed the former England international, David James, as their first ever coach in August. Dimitar Ivanov Berbatov ( bg, Димитър Иванов Бербатов; born 30 January 1981) is a Bulgarian former professional footballer. Wesley Michael Brown (born 13 October 1979) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. Brown began his career with Manchester United, joining the club's academy at the age of 12 in 1992. Telem Jackichand Singh (born 17 March 1992), is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Indian Super League club Mumbai City and the India national team. Arata Izumi
is a Japanese-born Indian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is currently a youth coach with the Reliance Foundation Young Champs. Izumi began his professional career in Singapore with Albirex Niigata Singapore and in his native Japan for Mitsubishi Mizushima before moving to India in 2006.
