The 2017–18 season was KF Tirana, Klubi i Futbollit Tirana's 79th competitive season, first ever season in the Kategoria e Parë and 97th year in existence as a football club. Season overview June Tirana's relegation for the first time in history created a mass exodus at the club, with Afrim Taku, Gilman Lika, Olsi Teqja leaving the team immediately after they contract run out. Later on 16 June, Tirana announced the signing of manager Zé Maria (footballer, born 1973), Zé Maria. On 19 June Tirana acquired the services of Ugandan striker Yunus Sentamu after having originally signed an agreement in January 2016. Klubi i Futbollit Tirana (KF Tirana) is an Albanian football club based in the country's capital city, Tirana. The men's football club is part of the multi-disciplinary sports club SK Tirana, and is the most successful in Albania, having won 54 recognized major domestic trophies. They play their home games at the Selman Stërmasi Stadium in Tirana and they play in the Kategoria Superiore. Afrim Taku (born 4 August 1989) is an Albanian professional footballer. Club career Early career Taku began his football career as a 13-year-old when he joined the KF Tirana academy, where he progressed through the ranks before eventually being loaned out to Albanian First Division side Skrapari for the 2008–09 campaign in order to gain first team experience. He made his professional debut in the First Division with Skrapari, where he featured in 11 league games as he helped the side narrowly avoid the relegation playoff places by a single point.
