Football Club Dynamo Kyiv (, ) is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Kyiv. Founded in 1927 as a Kyivan football team of republican branch of the bigger Soviet Dynamo Sports Society, the club as a separate business entity was officially formed only in 1989 and currently plays in the Ukrainian Premier League, and has never been relegated to a lower division. The club has secured brand rights from the Ukrainian Dynamo society and has no direct relations to the sports society since 1989. Their home is the 70,050 capacity Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex. Since 1936, Dynamo Kyiv has spent its entire history in the top league of Soviet and later Ukrainian football. The 2016–17 season was the 26th consecutive season in the top Ukrainian football league for Dynamo Kyiv. Dynamo won the 2016 Ukrainian Super Cup and competed in the Premier League, Ukrainian Cup and UEFA Champions League. Dynamo reached the final of the Ukrainian Cup, finished in second place in the Premier League, and qualified to the Champions League third qualifying round for next season. Mykyta Valeriyovych Burda ( ua, Микита Валерійович Бурда; born 24 March 1995) is a Ukrainian professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Defender (association football)#Centre-back, centre-back. Josip Pivarić (; born 30 January 1989) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Prva HNL side Lokomotiva Zagreb. Club career Dinamo Zagreb Pivarić joined the Dinamo Zagreb youth academy at a young age. He was promoted to the first team during the spring of 2008.
