The 2017–18 Central Coast Mariners FC season was the club's 13th season since its establishment in 2004. The club participated in the A-League for the 13th time and the FFA Cup for the 4th time. Central Coast Mariners Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Gosford, on the Central Coast of New South Wales. It competes in the A-League Men, under licence from the Australian Professional Leagues (APL). The Mariners were founded in 2004 and are one of the eight original A-League teams. It is the first professional sports club from the Gosford region to compete in a national competition. Despite being considered one of the smallest-market clubs in the league, the Central Coast Mariners have claimed one A-League Championship from four Grand Final appearances and topped the table to win the A-League Premiership twice. The club has also appeared in the AFC Champions League five times. The club plays matches at Central Coast Stadium, a 20,059-seat stadium in Gosford; its purpose-built training facility, Mariners Centre of Excellence, is located in the suburb of Tuggerah. Ivan Necevski
Ivan Necevski ( mk, Иван Нечевски, ''Ivan Nečevski''), (born 25 February 1980) is an Australian professional goalkeeper who plays for APIA Leichhardt. Club career He has previously played for the Blacktown, Illawarra Lions, Canterbury-Marrickville, Bonnyrigg White Eagles, Sydney United, Rockdale City Suns, and A-League clubs New Zealand Knights and Newcastle Jets. Sydney FC Necevski signed for Sydney in 2007 as a reserve behind Clint Bolton, and a hamstring injury suffered in training kept him away from duties for the first three months of the season. Adam Berry (footballer)
Adam Stephen Berry (born 20 February 1997) is an Australian professional footballer who currently plays for Blacktown City. Berry played youth football for Blacktown City, Leeds United and Central Coast Mariners before making his professional debut for the Mariners in 2016. He has appeared for the Australian under-20 side. Early life Berry grew up playing football in Castle Hill from age four, and attended Galston High School. Playing career Club In 2013, Berry signed with Leeds United's youth team on a two-year deal after thirteen years playing for Blacktown City. Trent Buhagiar (born 27 February 1998) is an Australian professional footballer who plays for Newcastle Jets in the A-League. Early life Born in Gosford, Buhagiar moved to and grew up on the Central Coast of New South Wales, playing junior football for the Umina Eagles. Daniel Peter De Silva (born 6 March 1997) is an Australian professional football player who plays as an attacking midfielder for Macarthur FC in the A-League. Born in Perth, De Silva commenced his professional career for Perth Glory in the A-League before joining Roda JC in 2015. Andrew James Hoole (born 22 October 1993) is an Australian semi-professional football (soccer) player who last played as a winger for Broadmeadow Magic in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW. Club career Newcastle Jets Hoole earned his first call up for the Jets after impressing in the Newcastle Jets Youth League squad. Tom Jan Hiariej (; born 25 July 1988) is a Dutch professional footballer who is currently without a club. He is of Moluccan descent. Club career The son of a Moluccan father and a Dutch mother, he made his professional first team debut in 2007 with Eredivisie side FC Groningen under long-time head coach Ron Jans. Antony Paul Golec (; born 29 May 1990) is an Australian former professional footballer who played as a centre back. Golec is now a real estate agent after his retirement from professional football. Jake McGing (born 22 May 1994) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a right back for Macarthur FC. Playing career McGing first played junior football for Macarthur Rams before he played senior football for Marconi Stallions. In February 2015, McGing signed a professional contract with A-League side Central Coast Mariners, having previously played for the Mariners' youth team. Storm James Roux ( ; born 13 January 1993) is a New Zealand international footballer who plays as a right back for A-League Men club Central Coast Mariners and the New Zealand national team.
