2017–18 Belgian Cup
The 2017–18 Belgian Cup, called the Croky Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the 63rd season of Belgium's annual football cup competition. The competition began on 28 July 2017 and ended with the final on 17 March 2018. Zulte Waregem were the defending champions, but they were eliminated by Club Brugge in the Seventh Round. Standard Liège won the cup, beating Genk after extra time in the final. As the winner, Standard Liège provisionally qualified for the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League Group Stage but, as they finished 2nd in the Belgian Pro League, they participated in the 3rd qualification round of the Champions League. Standard Liège
Royal Standard de Liège, commonly referred to as Standard Liège ( ; ; ) or simply Standard in Belgium, is a Belgian professional football club based in the city of Liège. They are one of the most successful clubs in Belgium, having won the Belgian league on ten occasions, most recently in 2007–08 and 2008–09. Two-legged Tie
In sports (especially association football), a two-legged tie is a contest between two teams which comprises two matches or "legs", with each team as the home team in one leg. The winning team is usually determined by aggregate score, the sum of the scores of the two legs, for example, if the scores of the two legs are: *First leg: Team-A 1-0 Team-B *Second leg: Team-B 3-3 Team-A Then the aggregate score will be Team-A 4–3 Team-B, meaning team A wins the tie. Daring Brussels, formerly known as Racing White Daring Molenbeek or RWDM, is a Belgian professional football club based in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Brussels. K.F.C. Turnhout is a Belgian football club, from the municipality of Turnhout. History K.F.C. Turnhout was founded as ''Turnhout Sport'' in 1912 with matricule n°148. After World War I, the club was refounded as ''F.C. Turnhout'' with the same matriculation. 2017–18 Belgian Second Amateur Division
The 2017–18 Belgian Second Amateur Division is the second season of the division in its current format, placed at the fourth-tier of football in Belgium. The division consists of three separate leagues, each containing 16 teams. Leagues A and B consist of teams with a license from the Voetbalfederatie Vlaanderen (VFV, the Dutch speaking wing of the Belgian FA), while league C contains teams with a license from the Association des Clubs Francophones de Football (ACFF, the French speaking wing of the RBFA). Royal Stade Brainois, often called just Stade Brainois is a defunct Belgian football club from Braine-le-Comte, Hainaut, Wallonia. History The club was founded on 1 July 1923 as Amicale Athlétique Brainoise. Two years later it received the matricule 343, which it kept throughout its history. On 13 June 1951, the club became a "royal society", and adopted the name Royale Amicale Athlétique Brainoise accordingly. Koninklijke Football Club Diest is a former Belgian association football club from the town of Diest, Flemish Brabant. It played two spells in the first division: from 1961–62 to 1964–65 and from 1970–71 to 1974–75, finishing 7th in 1964.
