2017–18 Aizawl FC Season
Aizawl F.C., Aizawl Football Club held its thirty-fourth season from 1 June 2017 to 31 May 2018, entering the 2017–18 I-League, 2017–18 I-League season as the defending champions finishing fifth. They reached the final of the 2017–18 Mizoram Premier League, Mizoram Premier League, losing to Chhinga Veng F.C., Chhinga Veng FC. The club started in the 2018 AFC Champions League but lost to Zob Ahan Esfahan F.C., Zob Ahan in the playoff round. This meant that they qualified for the 2018 AFC Cup where they finished bottom of the group. In the 2018 Indian Super Cup, Super Cup, they were eliminated in the quarter-finals by East Bengal F.C., East Bengal. Aizawl F
Aizawl (; Mizo: ) is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. Aizawl was officially established on 25 February 1890. With a population of 293,416, it is the largest city in the state. It is also the centre of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat. The population of Aizawl strongly reflects the different communities of the ethnic Mizo people. Ashutosh Mehta (born 21 February 1991) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defender. Club career Mumbai The 2010–11 season got off to a good start for Mehta as he made his debut for Mumbai in the 2010 Federation Cup against HAL. Albino Giovanni Gomes (born 7 February 1994) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for I-League club Churchill Brothers. Club career Early life and youth career Born in Goa, India, Albino began playing football at the age of 12. He played as a striker but later became a goalkeeper due to his height advantage. Brandon Vanlalremdika
Brandon Vanlalremdika (born 28 January 1994) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder or winger for I-League club Sreenidi Deccan. Club career Born in Mizoram, Vanlalremdika started his career with Aizawl. He was one of the goalscorers in the I-League 2nd Division match that saw Aizawl promoted to the I-League when they beat Chanmari 4–2. Vanlalremdika made his professional debut for Aizawl in the I-League on 9 January 2016 against the reigning champions, Mohun Bagan. He played 80 minutes before coming off as Aizawl lost 3–1. Lalramchullova (born 14 January 1996) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Mohammedan in the I-League. Career Born in Mizoram, Lalramchullova started his career with Aizawl. He made his professional debut for Aizawl in the I-League on 9 January 2016 against the reigning champions, Mohun Bagan. Khalid Jamil
Khalid Ahmed Jamil (born 21 April 1977) is an Indian professional football manager and former player who is the current head coach of I-league second division club FC Bengaluru United. He is the first Indian permanent head coach of an ISL team and the only Indian coach to qualify for the ISL playoffs. Jamil spent most of his playing career at Mahindra United, Air India and Mumbai. 2018 Indian Super Cup
The 2018 Hero Super Cup was the inaugural edition of the Super Cup (India), Super Cup and 39th season of the main club Single-elimination tournament, knockout association football, football competition in India. The competition is sponsored by Hero MotoCorp and is officially known as the Hero Super Cup. The competition began with the qualifiers on 15 March 2018 and concluded with the final on 20 April 2018. 2018 AFC Champions League
The 2018 AFC Champions League was the 37th edition of Asia's premier club football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and the 16th under the current AFC Champions League title.
