2017–18 Abilene Christian Wildcats Women's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Abilene Christian Wildcats women's basketball team represented Abilene Christian University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Wildcats, led by sixth year head coach Julie Goodenough, played their home games at the Moody Coliseum. They finished the season 16–14, 9–9 in Southland play to finish in seventh place. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the Southland women's tournament where they lost to Central Arkansas. Previous season The Wildcats finished the 2016–17 season 23–9 overall and 16–2 in conference play. They shared the Southland Conference Regular Season championship with Central Arkansas. The Wildcats, in their fourth and final year of transition from NCAA Division I to NCAA Division II, were ineligible to participate in the Southland Conference tournament and the NCAA Division I Women's Tournament. Julie Goodenough
Julie Ann Goodenough (née Roewe; born March 25, 1969) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head women's basketball coach at Abilene Christian. Early life and college playing career Born Julie Ann Roewe in Dallas, Goodenough graduated from Haskell High School in Haskell, Texas in 1987 and first played college basketball at the junior college level at Western Texas College before transferring to the University of Texas at Arlington in 1989. At Texas–Arlington, Goodenough played two years at forward. She averaged 8.9 points and 4.4 rebounds as a junior in 1989–90, then 14.3 points and 5.5 rebounds as a senior in 1990–91. Bullard, Texas
Bullard is a small town in Smith and Cherokee counties in the east-central part of U.S. state of Texas. U.S. Route 69 and Farm-to-Market Roads 2137, 2493, and 344 intersect here, about south of the larger city of Tyler.
