Fergus Hamilton
Fergus Hamilton (born 29 January 2000) is an Australian representative rower. He was a 2017 World Junior Champion and in 2023 made the Australian senior squad. Club and varsity rowing Hamilton attended Melbourne Grammar School where he took up rowing. He was Captain of Boats in his senior year. His senior club rowing has been from Melbourne's Mercantile Rowing Club. His father Richard Hamilton was an Olympian rower for Great Britain at Atlanta 1996. Fergus Hamilton won a place a Yale University to study environmental science. He rowed in the men's heavyweight crews in his freshman and second years. In the 2019/20 season he rowed in the six seat of the Yale senior eight which won the collegiate title at the Head of the Charles.
