2017 Tour Of Chongming Island
The 2017 Tour of Chongming Island was the eleventh staging of the Tour of Chongming Island, a women's stage race held in Shanghai, China. It ran from 5 to 7 May 2017 and was held as part of the 2017 UCI Women's World Tour. The race was won for the first time by 's Jolien D'Hoore, ahead of two-time race winners Kirsten Wild () and Chloe Hosking of . Teams 18 teams contested the race. 2017 UCI Women's World Tour
The 2017 UCI Women's World Tour was the second edition of the UCI Women's World Tour. For the 2017 season, the calendar consisted of 20 races, up from 17 in 2016. Two one-day races – the Amstel Gold Race and Liège–Bastogne–Liège, to complete an Ardennes classics week – were added along with the Ladies Tour of Norway and the Holland Ladies Tour; all 2016 races returned for the 2017 calendar, with the exception of the cancelled Philadelphia International Cycling Classic. The individual classification was won by Dutch rider Anna van der Breggen, riding for the team. Van der Breggen took the lead of the standings after winning the Tour of California, and after losing the lead to Poland's Katarzyna Niewiadoma () after the Women's Tour, van der Breggen regained the lead after victory at the Giro d'Italia Femminile. Chongming Island
Chongming, formerly known as Chungming, is an alluvial island at the mouth of the Yangtze River in eastern China covering as of 2010. Together with the islands Changxing and Hengsha, it forms Chongming District, the northernmost area of the provincial-level municipality of Shanghai. Annette Edmondson (born 12 December 1991) is an Australian former Cycle sport, cyclist who competed on the track with Cycling Australia's High Performance Unit (HPU). She also competed on the road for the team between 2015 and 2018.
