2017 TT Super League
The 2017 TT Super League season is the inaugural season under the title of the TT Super League and the fifteenth season for second tier association football clubs in Trinidad and Tobago, since its establishment in 2003. The league comprises 19 teams playing in two divisions. 12 teams play in League 1 and 7 teams play in League 2. League 1 began on June 11, 2017 and ended on December 10, 2017 with the crowning of Guaya United as champions. League 2 began on June 24, 2017 and ended on September 30, 2017 with the crowning of Petit Valley/Diego Martin United as champions. TT Super League
The National Super League is a league for semi-professional association football clubs in Trinidad and Tobago. It is the second-highest division of the Trinidad and Tobago football league system. The league currently comprises 19 teams between 2 leagues and operates on a system of relegation between those leagues. Although the Super League champion of each season can apply for membership in the TT Pro League, the two leagues do not operate on an automatic promotion and relegation system. Seasons run from June to December, with League 1 teams playing 22 regular season matches and League 2 teams playing 12. The league was founded in 2003 to allow the best teams from association football to play in a semi-professional environment, as they prepare for life in the professional game. Guayaguayare
Guayaguayare is the southeasternmost village in Trinidad & Tobago. It lies at the southern end of the county of Mayaro. Guayaguayare (often simply called ''Guaya'') is primarily a fishing village, but it also plays a major role in the petroleum industry. The largest petroleum producers in the country - BP Trinidad & Tobago (bpTT), BHP and Petrotrin all have major presences here and bpTT controls the Port of Guayaguayare, which services most of the offshore petroleum production in Trinidad. The major natural gas pipelines, serving Atlantic LNG in Point Fortin and the Point Lisas Industrial Estate, come ashore here. Chaguaramas, Trinidad
Chaguaramas (pronounced, in the local English dialect, "shag-gah-rah-muss") lies in the Northwest Peninsula of Trinidad west of Port of Spain; the name is often applied to the entire peninsula, but is sometimes used to refer to its most developed area. The developed area in Chaguaramas starts at ALCOA and ends at the Army and Coast Guard camps on the mainland. In the description or context of "developed area" one excludes the five islands which are in various stages of development or redevelopment as of 2016. Moruga
The village of Moruga lies on the central south coast of Trinidad at the western end of the Trinity Hills. It is in Victoria County, Trinidad and Tobago, and is served by the Princes Town Regional Corporation. The village is close to Trinidad's oil reserves, and that and fishing are the area's main economies with some of the residents of the community working in Princes Town and San Fernando. It is somewhat of a rural dormitory district for these larger urban areas. Moruga was in the national news in 1998 when a historic bridge near the town collapsed as a van was being driven over it (there were no fatalities).
