2017 TCR International Series Rustavi Round
The 2017 TCR International Series Rustavi round was the first round of the 2017 TCR International Series season. It took place on 2 April at the Rustavi International Motorpark. Davit Kajaia won the first race starting from pole position, driving an Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR, and Pepe Oriola gained the second one, driving a SEAT León TCR. Ballast After the Adria testing session, the Balance of Performance was issued: The Audi RS3 LMS TCRs were given a +45 kg from the minimum weight of 1285 kg, while the Opel Astra TCRs were given +40 kg, the SEAT León TCRs and Honda Civic TCRs were given +30 kg, the Volkswagen Golf GTI TCRs were given +10 kg and the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCRs were given -20 kg. Rustavi International Motorpark
The Rustavi International Motorpark is a motor racing venue located south-east of Tbilisi, Georgia. History Rustavi was the last race track built in the USSR. Opened in 1978, the original Rustavi circuit was in length with a width of at the start-finish straight, in turns and in straights. A karting track, automobile cross circuit and motorbike track were also included in the complex, as well as grandstands for 500–800 people. A technical building and hotel were located nearby. The first races took place at the end of 1979. Until 1989 the track hosted eleven USSR Championship events; however, from 1989 until 2009 the track was not maintained and fell into decay. In 2009 the private company Stromos bought the site at a state auction and began redevelopment. Adria International Raceway
Adria International Raceway was a motorsport race track near Adria in the Veneto region of Northern Italy. It was a permanent road course, the venue has hosted the FIA GT Championship, Italian Formula Three, Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and the Formula Three Euroseries. In 2021, the circuit shape was changed and the circuit length was extended to in order to host WTCR races in the 2021 season. In March 2022, the circuit was closed due to its debts. DG Sport Compétition is a Belgian auto racing team based in Theux, Belgium. The team has raced in the TCR International Series, since 2017. The also races in the TCR Benelux Touring Car Championship and Belgian Rally Championship. Having previously rallied in the European Rally Championship. Maťo Homola
Maťo Homola (born 19 July 1994, in Bratislava) is a Slovak racing driver. He is currently driving in TCR Europe in Target Competition with Hyundai i30 N TCR. Maťo became also a brand new Hyundai N ambassador for Slovakia in 2019. After having successfully finished on 5th position in 2016 in TCR International Series with B3 Racing Team Hungary, Mato Homola has switched to DG Sport Competition and Opel Astra OPC TCR. Before TCR, Mato Homola had raced successive seasons in the European Touring Car Cup for Homola Motorsport. He was the runner-up in the championship in both 2013 and 2014 in the S2000 class. James Nash (racing Driver)
James Nash (born 16 December 1985, in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire) is a British auto racing driver. On 16 October 2011 at the final round of the 2011 BTCC season he clinched the independents' championship. In 2014, he is competing in the Blancpain Endurance Series for the Belgian Audi Club Team WRT. Racing career Early years Nash raced in karting until 2005 when he started racing in Formula Ford cars. Gianni Morbidelli (born 13 January 1968) is an Italian racing driver. He participated in 70 Formula One Grands Prix, debuting on 11 March 1990.
