OneAsia Tour
The OneAsia Tour was a men's professional golf tour based in the Asia-Pacific region. The tour was founded in 2009 as a joint venture between the PGA Tour of Australasia, the China Golf Association, the Korean Golf Association and the Korean PGA. The Japan Golf Tour was invited to participate in the project in 2012 and has co-sanctioned the Indonesia Open, Indonesia PGA Championship and Thailand Open. OneAsia was seen as a rival to the longer established Asian Tour, with which it had poor relations. From 2010 to 2017, the OneAsia Tour had world ranking status in its own right. Having had a ten tournament schedule in each of its first few seasons, OneAsia's fortunes began to decline. Being reliant on co-sanctioning arrangements to fill out the calendar – only one event was not co-sanctioned in 2013 and 2014 – tour members were afforded a limited number of places in the tournaments. Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño (born 13 October 1980) is a Spanish professional golfer. He has played on the European Tour, winning seven times, and on the PGA Tour. Early life Fernández-Castaño was born in Madrid. He started playing golf at the age of three and had a successful amateur career, winning the 2003 Spanish Amateur Open Championship and achieving the first place in the Spanish amateur ranking in the same year. He represented Spain and Europe in several amateur team competitions, and was in the winning European team at the 2003 and 2004 Palmer Cup. He turned professional at the end of 2004 after completing Stage One of the European Tour Qualifying School, finishing eighth at the Finals at San Roque Golf Club where he secured his card for the 2005 season. Kim Felton
Kim Felton (born 27 March 1975) is an Australian professional golfer. As an amateur, Felton won the Australian Amateur in 1997 and was the low individual in the 1998 Eisenhower Trophy. Felton turned professional in 1999 and played mainly on the PGA Tour of Australasia and its developmental Tour, the Von Nida Tour. He won five events on the Von Nida Tour as well as three other Australian events. Felton also played on the Nationwide Tour from 2005 to 2008 where he won the 2005 Knoxville Open. In 2010, he won the Midea China Classic on the OneAsia Tour. Kolon Korea Open
The Kolon Korea Open, as it is currently known for sponsorship reasons, is a men's professional golf tournament that has been held annually in South Korea since 1958. The Korea Open was an event on the Asia Golf Circuit from 1970 until 1981. The Maekyung Open was founded in 1982 to replace it on the circuit, which allowed rescheduling of the Korea Open to later in the year. It became a stop on the Asian Tour from 1998 to 2008, except for 2005, and then part of the OneAsia Tour schedule from 2009 to 2017, before returning to the Asian Tour in 2018. In 2019, the total purse is KRW1,200,000,000 with KRW300,000,000 to the winner. The event has been played at Woo Jeong Hills since 2003. Michael Hendry
Michael Hendry (born 15 October 1979) is a professional golfer from New Zealand. Since 2013 he has played primarily on the Japan Golf Tour where he won the 2015 Token Homemate Cup. He won the 2013 New Zealand PGA Championship and the 2017 New Zealand Open. Career Hendry was born in Auckland, New Zealand. He turned professional in 2005. Hendry plays on the PGA Tour of Australasia where has won the New Zealand PGA Championship twice and the New Zealand Open. In 2012, he finished second on the Order of Merit. In 2017, he became the first New Zealander since Mahal Pearce in 2003 to win the New Zealand Open when he defeated fellow kiwi Ben Campbell and Australian Brad Kennedy in a playoff at Millbrook Resort. Indonesia Open (golf)
The Indonesia Open is the national open golf championship of Indonesia, and traditionally held in the capital, Jakarta. History The Indonesia Open was founded in 1974 as an event on the Asia Golf Circuit. It remained on the circuit until the end of the 1996 season, after which it joined the rival Asian PGA's Omega Tour for the 1997 season. Having not been held between 1998 and 2004, the Indonesian Open returned in 2005 as a co-sanctioned event on both the Asian Tour and the European Tour. It remained a fixture on the tours through the 2009 season after which it joined the rival OneAsia tour.
