2017 NSW Cup
The 2017 New South Wales Cup season was the tenth season of the New South Wales Cup administered by the New South Wales Rugby League, and the second known as the Intrust Super Premiership NSW due sponsorship reasons. The competition acts as a second-tier league to the ten New South Wales-based National Rugby League clubs, as well the Canberra Raiders and New Zealand Warriors. The winner of the Premiership will compete against the winner of the 2017 Queensland Cup in the 2017 NRL State Championship. Illawarra RLFC are the defending champions, following their 21–20 victory against the Mounties in the 2016 grand final. A NSW Residents side, selected from the Premiership, lost 6–36 to the Queensland Residents on 7 May. Current teams In 2017, 12 clubs are fielding teams in the Intrust Super Premiership. NSW Cup
The NSW Cup, currently known as the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a rugby league competition for clubs in New South Wales. The competition has a history dating back to the NSWRFL's origins in 1908, starting off as a reserve grade competition, and is now the premier open age competition in the state. The NSW Cup was the Reserve Grade/Presidents Cup/First Division from 1908 until 2002, and the NSWRL Premier League from 2003 to 2007, the NSW Cup from 2008 to 2015, the Intrust Super Premiership NSW from 2016 to 2018, the Canterbury Cup NSW from 2019 to 2020. The New South Wales Cup, along with the Queensland Cup, acts as a feeder competition to the National Rugby League premiership. Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles
The Blacktown Workers Rugby League Football Club, also known as Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles, are an Australian rugby league football club based in Blacktown, New South Wales formed in 1962. Since 2017 they have had a side in the NSW Cup, as the feeder team to the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. Knock-on Effect NSW Cup The Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles first season in The Intrust Super Premiership NSW was a disappointing one at they finished the season in 10th place and missed out on the finals series. In 2018, the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles missed out on the finals for a second consecutive season after finishing 9th on the table. At the end of the 2019 Canterbury Cup NSW season, the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles endured a tough season finishing last on the table and claiming the wooden spoon with just six wins all year. Belmore Sports Ground, formerly known as Belmore Oval, is a multi-purpose stadium in Belmore, New South Wales, Australia. Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles
The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Sydney's Northern Beaches. The team colours are maroon and white, while their namesake and logo is the sea eagle. They compete in Australia's premier rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL).
