2017 Liège–Bastogne–Liège (women's Race)
The first edition of Liège–Bastogne–Liège for Women, a road cycling one-day race in Belgium, was held on 23 April 2017. It was the eighth event of the 2017 UCI Women's World Tour. The race started in Bastogne and finished in Ans, containing four categorized climbs and covering a total distance of 135.5 km. 139 riders started the race, 98 finished. Dutch rider and reigning Olympic road race champion Anna van der Breggen won the event, thus completing a set of wins in all three races of the Ardennes classics. Van der Breggen had already won Amstel Gold Race and La Flèche Wallonne in the week leading up to Liège–Bastogne–Liège. All three races had the same runner-up and third-place finisher on the podium. 2017 UCI Women's World Tour
The 2017 UCI Women's World Tour was the second edition of the UCI Women's World Tour. For the 2017 season, the calendar consisted of 20 races, up from 17 in 2016. Two one-day races – the Amstel Gold Race and Liège–Bastogne–Liège, to complete an Ardennes classics week – were added along with the Ladies Tour of Norway and the Holland Ladies Tour; all 2016 races returned for the 2017 calendar, with the exception of the cancelled Philadelphia International Cycling Classic. The individual classification was won by Dutch rider Anna van der Breggen, riding for the team. Van der Breggen took the lead of the standings after winning the Tour of California, and after losing the lead to Poland's Katarzyna Niewiadoma () after the Women's Tour, van der Breggen regained the lead after victory at the Giro d'Italia Femminile. Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig (born 23 August 1995) is a Danish professional road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Career As a junior, she competed at the 2012 UCI Road World Championships and the 2013 UCI Road World Championships. In the 2018 La Course by Le Tour de France she finished in 4th place, with her teammate Ashleigh Moolman taking the final podium place. She also took the mountains classification in this race. Olga Sergeyevna Zabelinskaya (also transliterated Zabelinskaia; russian: Ольга Серге́евна Забелинская; born 10 May 1980) is a Russian-born Uzbekistani professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team . While competing for Russia, she won three Olympic medals, before changing allegiances to Uzbekistan in 2018. Eleonora Maria "Ellen" van Dijk (; born 11 February 1987) is a Dutch professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Besides road cycling she was also a track cyclist until 2012. Van Dijk is known as a time trial specialist and is five times world champion.
