2017 LPGA Of Japan Tour
The 2017 LPGA of Japan Tour was the 50th season of the LPGA of Japan Tour, the professional golf tour for women operated by the Ladies Professional Golfers' Association of Japan. The 2017 schedule included 38 official events worth ¥3.710 billion. The leading money winner was Ai Suzuki, followed by Lee Min-young and Teresa Lu. Suzuki finished also on top of the LPGA Mercedes-Benz Player of the Year Rankings, here followed by Kim Ha-neul and Lee Min-young. The LPGA of Japan Tour is a professional golf tour for women organised by the Japan Ladies Professional Golfers' Association. It is the second richest women's golf tour in the world. The U.S.-based LPGA Tour is the most important women's tour, but the prize money gap has closed markedly since the American tour's total prize fund peaked at just over $60 million in 2008. While the Japan Tour is the second-most lucrative women's tour, two other non-U.S. tours, the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA of Korea Tour, rival the Japan Tour in level of competition. The Fujisankei Ladies Classic is an annual golf event on the LPGA of Japan Tour. It was first played in 1982.
