2017 K3 League Basic
The 2017 K3 League Basic was the first season of the K3 League Basic. The top 12 teams from 2016 K3 League remained in the league renamed 2017 K3 League Advanced, and the remaining 8 teams were relegated to this new league. Yeonggwang FC withdrew this season, with two new teams Busan FC and Pyeongtaek G-SMATT FC joining. Competition format The 2017 season ran from March through to October. The 9 teams competed in a single division. Each team played each other home and away for a total of 16 games. After the regular season, the top team and the winner of the playoff between 2nd-5th teams qualified for the 2018 K3 League Advanced. Siheung City FC
Siheung ( ) is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The city has a population of 511,807 people, where 508,646 are residents out of 218,846 households as of August 2021. Siheung acquired its current administrative structure on January 1, 1989, the former Siheung County was divided into the cities of Siheung, Gunpo, and Uiwang. At the time, Siheung had a population of only 93,000. This number more than tripled in the following decade as massive suburban apartment complexes were developed. Today's Siheung city area formerly belonged to Incheon and Ansan before 1914. Notable landmarks include the Oido island, the Soraesan mountain, and the port and inlet of Wolgot. The 2017 K League Classic was the 35th season of the top division of South Korean professional football since its establishment in 1983, and the fifth season of the K League Classic.
