2017 Indiana Hoosiers Football Team
The 2017 Indiana Hoosiers football team represented Indiana University in the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Hoosiers played their home games at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Indiana. Indiana competed as a member of the East Division of the Big Ten Conference. The team was led by first-year head coach Tom Allen and finished 5–7 overall, 2–7 in Big Ten play to finish in a tie for sixth place in the East Division. Tom Allen (American Football)
Thomas E. Allen (born March 14, 1970) is an American college football coach serving as the head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers football team. He was named the 2020 Big Ten Coach of the Year and AFCA Coach of the Year. Allen previously served as the defensive coordinator at Indiana and South Florida. He spent time as an assistant at Ole Miss, Arkansas State, and Drake, among other programs. A native of New Castle, Indiana, Allen also spent six seasons as defensive coordinator and three seasons as the head football coach at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis Early life and education Allen played high school football at New Castle High School in New Castle, Indiana, where his father (also named Tom Allen) was the head football coach. Kevin Johns
Kevin Johns (born December 4, 1975) is an American football coach. He is the offensive coordinator at Duke University, a position he has held since January 2022. Previously, Johns served in the same role at Indiana University Bloomington, Western Michigan University, Texas Tech University, and the University of Memphis. Career Early coaching career Johns graduated from the University of Dayton, where he played quarterback for Flyers. Carmel, Indiana
Carmel is a suburban city in Indiana immediately north of Indianapolis. Hamilton is a city in and the county seat of Butler County, Ohio, United States. Orland Park is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States, with a small portion in Will County. The village is a suburb of Chicago. Per the 2020 census, Orland Park had a population of 58,703. Daniel Feeney (born May 29, 1994) is an American football guard for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Indiana, and was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. The Eastern Michigan Eagles are a college football program at Eastern Michigan University. They compete in Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and the Mid-American Conference. Western Michigan Broncos Football
The Western Michigan Broncos football program represents Western Michigan University in the Football Bowl Subdivision of Division I and the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Western Michigan has competed in football since 1906, when they played three games in their inaugural season. In 1927, WMU joined four other schools (Central Michigan University, Eastern Michigan University, Ferris State University, and Wayne State University) to form the Michigan Collegiate Conference. Western Michigan then moved to its present conference in 1948. Prior to 1939, Western Michigan's athletic teams were known as the Hilltoppers. The Syracuse Orange football team represents Syracuse University in the sport of American football. The Orange compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
