Operation Atlantic Resolve
Operation Atlantic Resolve, though not a "named" operation, refers to military activities in response to Russian operations in Ukraine; mainly the War in Donbass. It was funded under the European Deterrence Initiative. In the wake of Russia's 2014 intervention in Ukraine, the U.S. and the U.K. took several immediate steps to enhance the deterrence posture along the eastern flank of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), including augmenting the air, ground and naval presence in the region, and enhancing previously scheduled exercises. The US described the activities as taking measures to enhance NATO military plans and defense capabilities and maintaining a persistent presence in Central Europe and Eastern Europe. Jerzy Kossela
Jerzy Kossela (né Kosela; 15 July 1942 – 7 January 2017) was a Polish guitarist, vocalist and founding member of the bands Electron, Niebiesko-Czarni, Pięciolinie and Czerwone Gitary. He was the first founding member of the band Czerwone Gitary, during 1965–1967. Following his departure from the band, he continued to remain active in Polish music and performed on stage until 1976 after which he would then spend 15 years as a music presenter. Upon the band's reunion in 1991, he once again became its guitarist and singer. In 1993, he left the band again due to a conflict with former band founder, Seweryn Krajewski. By 1999, Kossela had rejoined Czerwone Gitary again. He composed such hits as "Bo ty się boisz myszy" (music and lyrics), "Historia jednej znajomości", "Matura" (lyrics to the music of Krzysztof Klenczon). Bogdan Romuald Tuszyński (4 July 1932 – 1 January 2017) was a Polish sports journalist, reporter and historian. He was best known for his sports report ''Studio S-13'' of the Polskie Radio, beginning in 1970. Born in Łódź, he began his career as an editor of ''Przegląd Sportowy'' (1951–1952), before moving to Polskie Radio in 1953, departing from the radio broadcaster in 1981. He also reported on the Peace Race annually. He published approximately thirty books between 1975 and 2009. For his services to Polish sports journalist, Tuszyński was awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta and the Cross of Merit.
