2017 GP3 Series
The 2017 GP3 Series was the eighth season of the third-tier of Formula One feeder championship and also eighth season under the moniker of GP3 Series, a motor racing feeder series that runs in support of the 2017 FIA Formula One World Championship and sister series Formula 2. George Russell won the drivers' championship. In the teams' championship, defending champions ART Grand Prix secured their seventh GP3 Series title. Trident Racing were second ahead of Jenzer Motorsport. Champion George Russell took 4 wins, Giuliano Alesi got 3 sprint race wins., Nirei Fukuzumi won 2 races during the season, and Dorian Boccolacci, Arjun Maini, Raoul Hyman, Jack Aitken, Alessio Lorandi, and Niko Kari all took 1 win each. ART Grand Prix won all feature races, except the last race, which was won by Arden International. George Russell (racing Driver)
George William Russell (; born 15 February 1998) is a British racing driver currently competing in Formula One for Mercedes. He was the FIA Formula 2 champion and the 2017 GP3 Series champion, driving for ART in both campaigns. Following his Formula 2 championship win, Russell signed for Williams in , making his debut at the 2019 Australian Grand Prix, although he stood in for Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix. Russell achieved his first F1 podium with Williams at the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix. Niko Kari
Niko Kari (born 6 October 1999) is a Finnish racing driver who last raced in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Jenzer Motorsport. He won his first single-seater championship, the 2015 SMP F4 Championship, in his debut year in car racing and is a former member of the Red Bull Junior Team. Career Karting Kari started karting in 2009 and took part in his first race in 2010. He raced in several national karting series in Finland from 2010 to 2013. In 2014, Kari moved to KF European where he finished fifth overall. Junior formulae Kari moved to single-seaters in 2015, starting in the new SMP F4 Championship. Daniel Charles Anthony Ticktum (born 8 June 1999) is a British racing driver currently racing with the NIO 333 FE Team in the Formula E World Championship. Ticktum became a member of the Red Bull Junior Team in 2017. Anthoine Hubert (; 22 September 1996 – 31 August 2019) was a French professional racing driver. He was the 2018 GP3 Series champion and a member of the Renault Sport Academy.
