2017 Chesapeake Bayhawks Season
The 2017 Chesapeake Bayhawks season was the seventeenth season of the Chesapeake Bayhawks in Major League Lacrosse, and eighth season using the Chesapeake moniker. This season the team added some key young players including Lyle Thompson, Josh Byrne, Isaiah Davis-Allen, Jake Froccaro, and Ben Williams. Dave Cottle
Dave Cottle is a retired American lacrosse coach. He was a consultant for Marquette University, when they added men's and women's varsity lacrosse on December 16, 2010. He was previously the head coach for the Maryland Terrapins men's lacrosse team at the University of Maryland from 2002 to 2010. Cottle also coached the Loyola College men's lacrosse team from 1983 to 2001. College career Cottle attended Northern High School in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. He later enrolled at Salisbury State University in Salisbury, Maryland, where he played lacrosse from 1975 to 1978. During his playing career, he set numerous school and NCAA records. In his freshman season, 1975, Cottle led the nation in scoring, and became the second player in history to surpass 100 points in a season. He was named an All-American three years.Player ... Fortress Obetz
Fortress Obetz is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment complex in Obetz, Ohio. Its bleacher system holds 6,500 people. Including standing room for events such as concerts, Fortress Obetz can hold nearly 20,000 people. It opened in 2017 on the site of the former Columbus Motor Speedway and hosted the 2020 Ohio High School Football Championship games. History In September 2016, Obetz purchased the Columbus Motor Speedway. Obetz developed it into a community asset to host concerts, farmers’ markets, trade shows, sporting events including rugby, festivals, and other community activities. Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens Men's Lacrosse
The Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens men's lacrosse team represents the University of Delaware in NCAA Division I men's college lacrosse. Delaware currently competes as a member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and plays its home games at Delaware Stadium in Newark, Delaware. History Head coach Bob Shillinglaw led the Blue Hens for over 30 years and is only the second man to coach 500 lacrosse games. Yale Bulldogs Men's Lacrosse
The Yale Bulldogs men's lacrosse team represents Yale University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's lacrosse. Yale competes as a member of the Ivy League and plays their home games at Reese Stadium in New Haven, Connecticut. The Bulldogs have captured the Ivy League championship five times. The Virginia Cavaliers men's lacrosse team represents the University of Virginia in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's lacrosse. The Cavaliers compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and plays home games at Klöckner Stadium, or occasionally Turf Field or Scott Stadium, in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Syracuse Orange men's lacrosse team represents Syracuse University in NCAA Division I men's college lacrosse. Matt Abbott
Matt Abbott (born September 10, 1986) is a professional lacrosse player for Cannons Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League. He is a nine time MLL all star and the Bayhawks leader in career games played. Abbott played for the Bayhawks since graduating from Syracuse, where he played lacrosse for four years. Empower Field at Mile High (previously known as Broncos Stadium at Mile High, Invesco Field at Mile High and Sports Authority Field at Mile High, and commonly known as Mile High, New Mile High or Mile High Stadium) is an American football stadium in Denver, Colorado, United States.
