Charlotte Independence
Charlotte Independence is an American soccer team based in Charlotte, North Carolina that plays in the USL League One, the third tier of the American soccer pyramid. The Independence currently play their home games at American Legion Memorial Stadium in the Elizabeth neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. Previously, the Independence have played at Ramblewood Soccer Complex and Sportsplex at Matthews. The teams color's are navy, blue, and parchment. The independence wear blue kits at home, and grey on the road. History The Charlotte Independence were founded in 2014. They acquired the USL Pro franchise rights for Charlotte from the Charlotte Eagles, who moved into the amateur Premier Development League (PDL). Bilal Duckett
Kevin Bilal Duckett (born January 9, 1989) is an American soccer player. Career College and amateur Duckett played youth soccer in Georgia and played for McIntosh High School where he captained the squad to a state title in his senior season. Duckett joined the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in 2007 and was the starting right back during his last two years with the school. Professional Duckett was drafted first in the third round (37th overall) in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft by Vancouver Whitecaps FC. His versatility impressed coach Teitur Thordarson, who used Duckett, a natural right back, at center back and left back during the 2011 pre-season. Exploria Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium in downtown Orlando, Florida. The stadium is located along West Church Street in the Parramore neighborhood west of Downtown Orlando. It is the home of Orlando City SC, which entered Major League Soccer (MLS) as an expansion franchise in 2015, and their National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) affiliate club, the Orlando Pride. Jorge Herrera (born 11 September 1980) is a former Colombian professional footballer. Career Jorge has received many high awards from the Colombian Football Federation and from the South American Football Confederation. South America Herrera spent most of his early professional career in his native Colombia, playing for Independiente Santa Fe, Atlético Nacional, Deportes Quindío and Millionarios. Lewis Alexander Hilton (born 22 October 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays for the Tampa Bay Rowdies in USL Championship. Career Early career Hilton spent five years playing for Plymouth Argyle as a youngster before spending a year with Exeter City. Jordan Schweitzer
Jordan Schweitzer (born April 19, 1994) is a Canadian soccer player. Club career Schweitzer was raised in Everett, Washington, and played for Henry M. Jackson High School in Mill Creek, where he captained the team as a journal and was named a First Team All-WESCO selection. He was a member of the Seattle Sounders FC Academy from 2011 to 2012, recording six goals in 25 appearances for the U-18s in the 2011–2012 season, as well as six scoring tallies in 29 games for the U-16s in 2010–2011.
