The 2017 Canada Open Grand Prix, was the ninth Grand Prix's badminton tournament of the 2017 BWF Grand Prix Gold and Grand Prix. Markin MacPhail Centre
Canada Olympic Park (COP), formerly known as Paskapoo Ski Hill, is a ski hill and multi-purpose training and competition facility located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, owned and operated by WinSport. It is currently used both for high performance athletic training and for recreational purposes by the general public. Canada Olympic Park was one of the venues for the 1988 Winter Olympics, being the primary venue for ski jumping, bobsleigh, and luge. Sameer Verma
Sameer Verma (born 22 October 1994) is an Indian badminton player. He trains at the Gopichand Badminton Academy, Hyderabad. Sameer is the brother of Indian badminton player Sourabh Verma. Career 2011 Verma won a silver medal in the Asian Junior Championships, held in Lucknow, India and a bronze medal in mixed team event. He also won silver at the men's singles at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games, losing in the final to Zulfadli Zulkiffli of Malaysia. Koki Watanabe
is a Japanese badminton player. He graduated from the Saitama Sakae high school, and was part of the Unysis team since 2017. He won his first international title at the 2018 Yonex / K&D Graphics International tournament. Career Watanabe started his badminton career when he was four years old, entered the badminton club under the influence of his sister. Parupalli Kashyap (born 8 September 1986) is an Indian badminton player. A former World No.6, he trains at Gopichand Badminton Academy. He was awarded the Arjuna Award by the Government of India in 2012. He created history by reaching the quarter-finals of men's singles at the 2012 London Olympics, being the first male player from India to do so. Mark Caljouw (born 25 January 1995) is a Dutch badminton player. He started playing badminton aged eight, at BC Randstad in Rijswijk. Career Caljouw was selected to join the national team in 2008, and made a debut in international senior tournament in 2012. Caljouw competed at the 2013 European Junior Championships in Ankara, Turkey, winning a silver medal in the boys' singles event, and also a bronze medal in the mixed team event.
