The 2017 CS Warsaw Cup was a senior international figure skating competition, held in November 2017 in Warsaw, Poland. It was part of the 2017–18 ISU Challenger Series. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four ( men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating. History The ISU Council decided to create the series at its February 2014 meeting. Eleven competitions were selected in June 2014. The Triglav Trophy dropped out by October 10, 2014, resulting in a series composed of ten events. Pair Skating
Pair skating is a figure skating discipline defined by the International Skating Union (ISU) as "the skating of two persons in unison who perform their movements in such harmony with each other as to give the impression of genuine Pair Skating as compared with independent Single Skating".S&P/ID 2021, p. 109 The ISU also states that a pairs team consists of "one Woman and one Man". Pair skating, along with men's and women's single skating, has been an Olympic discipline since figure skating, the oldest Winter Olympic sport, was introduced at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London. The ISU World Figure Skating Championships introduced pair skating in 1908. Molly Beth Lanaghan (born January 29, 1999) is a British-Canadian ice dancer, who currently competes with Dmitre Razgulajevs. Personal life Molly Lanaghan was born on January 29, 1999, in Doncaster, England. Sarah Arnold (born February 11, 1990) is a Canadian ice dancer. She placed 8th at the 2018 Four Continents Championships with Thomas Williams and has also competed on the Grand Prix series, with Justin Trojek. Personal life Arnold was born on February 11, 1990, in Etobicoke, Ontario. She has taught pilates and worked as a licensed massage therapist. Yuri Cheslavavich Hulitski ( be, Юрый Чэслававіч Гуліцкі; born 18 April 1996) is a retired Belarusian competitive ice dancer. Timothy A. McKernan II (born July 29, 1989) is an American ice dancer who skates in partnership with Kimberley Hew-Low for Australia. They competed at the 2017 Four Continents Championships.
