2017 Belk Bowl
The 2017 Belk Bowl was a postseason college football bowl game played at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina on December 29, 2017. The game was the 16th edition of the Belk Bowl and featured the Wake Forest Demon Deacons of the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Texas A&M Aggies of the Southeastern Conference. It was one of the 2017–18 bowl games concluding the 2017 FBS football season. The game was sponsored by department store chain Belk. Bank of America Stadium is a 74,867-seat football stadium located on in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. It is the home facility and headquarters of the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League and Charlotte FC of Major League Soccer. 2017 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Football Team
The 2017 Wake Forest Demon Deacons football team represented Wake Forest University during the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was led by fourth-year head coach Dave Clawson, and played their home games at BB&T Field. Wake Forest competed in the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference as they have since the league's inception in 1953. The Duke’s Mayo Bowl is an annual college football bowl game that has been played at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, since 2002. Keith Ford (born April 18, 1994) is an American football running back who is a free agent. He played college football at Oklahoma and Texas A&M. He was originally signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2018, and was also a member of the Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers. Early life and high school Growing up, Ford's family moved often as his father, Keith Ford Sr., served in the United States Marine Corps. Nicholas Starkel (born February 24, 1998) is an American football quarterback who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Texas A&M University, the University of Arkansas, and San Jose State University. Christian Davon Kirk (born November 18, 1996) is an American football wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). Jessie Bates III (born February 26, 1997) is an American football safety for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL).
