2017 BYU Cougars Women's Volleyball Team
The 2017 BYU Cougars women's volleyball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2017 NCAA Division I women's volleyball season. The Cougars were led by third year head coach Heather Olmstead and played their home games at the Smith Fieldhouse. The Cougars were members of the WCC. BYU came off a season where they won the WCC regular season championship and once again participated in the NCAA tournament before falling to Texas in the third round. Heather Olmstead
Heather Olmstead is an American volleyball head coach for the BYU Cougars women's volleyball team. In 2018, she was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association Coach of the Year. She also served as head coach of the U.S. Collegiate National Team in Japan and as the assistant coach at the 2015 Pan American Games. Her brother, Shawn Olmstead, coaches the BYU Cougars men's volleyball team. Personal life Olmstead is one of seven children born to parents Rick and Trudy Olmstead. Her twin sister Nicole was also an athlete in high school. Olmstead is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 2017 Utah Utes Volleyball Team
The 2017 Utah Utes volleyball team will represent the University of Utah in the 2017 NCAA Division I women's volleyball season. The Utes are led by twenty-eighth year head coach Beth Launiere and play their home games at the Huntsman Center. The Utes are members of the Pac-12 Conference. Utah comes off a season where they went 20–12, 11–9 in conference. They earned an at-large NCAA Tournament at-large slot where they lost to UNLV in the first round. Baylor Bears
The Baylor Bears are the athletic teams that represent Baylor University. The Nevada Wolf Pack are the athletic teams that represent the University of Nevada, Reno. They are part of NCAA's Division I's Mountain West Conference. It was founded on October 24, 1896 with football as the Sagebrushers in Reno, Nevada. History Name Nevada's athletic teams were originally known as the Sagebrushers, named after Nevada's state flower.
