2017 All-SEC Football Team
The 2017 All-SEC football team consists of American football players selected to the All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) chosen by the ''Associated Press'' (AP) and the conference coaches for the 2017 Southeastern Conference football season. Georgia won the conference, in a rematch, beating Auburn 28–7 in the SEC Championship. Auburn running back Kerryon Johnson was voted the AP SEC Offensive Player of the Year. 2017 Southeastern Conference Football Season
The 2017 Southeastern Conference football season was the 85th season of SEC football and took place during the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The season began on August 31 and will end with the 2017 SEC Championship Game on December 2. The SEC is a Power Five conference under the College Football Playoff format along with the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Big 12 Conference, the Big Ten Conference, and the Pac–12 Conference. For the 2017 season, the SEC has 14 teams divided into two divisions of seven each, named East and West. Derrius Guice
Derrius Guice ( ; born June 21, 1997) is an American football running back for the Vegas Knight Hawks of the Indoor Football League (IFL). He played college football at LSU, where he was the first player in Southeastern Conference (SEC) history with three career games of 250 or more rushing yards before being drafted by the Washington Redskins in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Guice appeared in just five games in two years in the NFL due to multiple knee injuries and was released in 2020 after being charged for crimes related to domestic violence. LSU disassociated itself from Guice and removed all of his statistics from their record books in 2021 amid claims that the school had mishandled accusations of sexual harassment by him during his time there. Martinas Orlando Rankin (born October 20, 1994) is American football offensive tackle who is a free agent. He played college football at Mississippi State and was drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He has also been a member of the Kansas City Chiefs. Isaiah Emmanuel Wynn (born December 9, 1995) is an American football offensive guard for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). Will Clapp (born December 10, 1995) is an American football center for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Louisiana State University. Early years Clapp attended Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He committed to play football for the LSU Tigers in January 2010.
