2017 Africa U-17 Cup Of Nations Qualification
The qualification phase of the 2017 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations decided the participating teams of the final tournament. A total of eight teams played in the final tournament, hosted by Gabon. The draws were conducted during the CAF Executive Committee meeting held on Friday, 5 February 2016 in Kigali, Rwanda. Participants Note: Madagascar were originally to qualify automatically as hosts, but had their hosting rights withdrawn and were replaced by Gabon (which played in the qualifiers and were eliminated in the third round). Format Qualification ties were played on a home-and-away two-legged basis. If the aggregate score was tied after the second leg, the away goals rule would be applied, and if still level, the penalty shoot-out would be used to determine the winner (no extra time would be played). 2015 African U-17 Championship Qualification
The qualification phase of the 2015 African U-17 Championship decided the participating teams of the final tournament. A total of eight teams will play in the final tournament, to be hosted by Niger. Qualification ties were played on a home-and-away two-legged basis. If the sides were level on aggregate after the second leg, the away goals rule was applied, and if still level, the tie proceeded directly to a penalty shoot-out (no extra time was played). Player eligibility During CAF Executive Committee meetings held on 21 and 22 September 2013, the CAF Medical Committee was instructed to continue the use of Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans to determine the ages of players and consequently their eligibility to participate in the qualifying stages of the tournament. Tanzania National Main Stadium also known as Benjamin Mkapa Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Miburani ward of Temeke District in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It opened in 2007 and was built adjacent to Uhuru Stadium, the former national stadium. It hosts major football matches such as the Tanzanian Premier League and home matches of the Tanzania national football team. Ally Hussein Msengi (born 20 December 2001) is a Tanzanian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for South African Premier Division club Moroka Swallows and the Tanzania national team. Al-Merrikh Stadium, also known as the Red Castle, is a multi-use stadium in Omdurman, Sudan, used mostly for football matches and also sometimes for athletics. Established in 1962.
