2016–17 Ukrainian Cup
The 2016–17 Ukrainian Cup is the 26th annual season of Ukraine's football knockout competition. The decision on a schedule of competitions for clubs from the First and Second League in composition will be confirmed by the Central Council of the Professional Football League of Ukraine and the competition will start on 20 July 2016. Shakhtar Donetsk
Football Club Shakhtar Donetsk ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Шахтар» Донецьк , short nickname "miners") is a Ukrainian professional football club from the city of Donetsk. In 2014, due to the War in Donbass, the club was forced to move to Lviv, and had played matches in Lviv (2014–2016) and in Kharkiv (2017–2020) whilst having its office headquarters and training facilities in Kyiv. In May 2020, Shakhtar started to play home matches at NSC Olimpiyskiy in Kyiv. Shakhtar has appeared in several European competitions and is often a participant in the UEFA Champions League. Ukrainian Amateur Cup
The Ukrainian Amateur Cup ( uk, Кубок України з футболу серед аматорських команд) or AAFU Cup ( uk, Кубок ААФУ) is a national cup competition in Ukraine for amateur clubs. The nationwide competition among amateur teams in cup format (Olympic system) was revived in the 1996–97 season and since 2008 the winner receives the right to progress to the Ukrainian Cup which serves professional clubs. Format The Cup is intended to be organised between the Cup holders of the regional tournaments, but in reality it is an optional invitational tournament among teams that are delegated by selected regions (oblasts of Ukraine and autonomous republic of Crimea). Regions are not obligated to present their teams or fill their competition berths, there is no limitation on amount of teams from each region. Football Club Kramatorsk is a professional Ukrainian football club from the city of Kramatorsk in Donetsk Oblast. The club takes its history from a factory team of the Old Kramatorsk Machine-building Plant (SKMZ). History The club Avangard was reformed in 1955. Prior to World War II there existed a club that was associated with the machine industry in the city. In 1937, the club participated in the national championship as the champion of Ukraine. FC Myr Hornostayivka was a professional Ukrainian football club from the village of Hornostayivka, Novotroyiske Raion (district), Kherson Oblast, just north of the Crimean peninsula. FC Balkany Zorya ( uk, ФК Балкани Зоря, FK Balkany Zorya) is a professional Ukrainian football team that is based in the village of Zorya, Sarata Raion in the region of Budjak, Odesa Oblast. FC Zhemchuzhyna Odesa was a professional Ukrainian football from Odesa. The club was founded in 2013, but dissolved in 2018. The club was admitted to Ukrainian Second League in 2016–17 season.
