2016–17 USM Alger Season
In the 2016–17 season, USM Alger competed in the Ligue 1 for the 39th season, as well as the Algerian Cup. It was their 22nd consecutive season in the top flight of Algerian football. They competed in Ligue 1 as well as the CAF Champions League, and Algerian Super Cup, and the Algerian Cup. USM Alger entered the 2016–2017 season as reigning Ligue Professionnelle 1 champions after winning the Ligue Professionnelle 1 title in the 2015–2016 season, The club was managed by Miloud Hamdi, until he left on 5 June 2016. USM Alger
Union Sportive de la Médina d'Alger ( ar, الإتحاد الرياضي لمدينة الجزائر); known as USM Alger or simply USMA for short, is a football club based in the inner suburbs of Algiers. The club was founded in 1937 and its colours are red and black. Their home stadium, Omar Hamadi Stadium, has a capacity of 10,000 spectators. The club is currently playing in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1. The 2016 Algerian Super Cup was the 10th edition of Algerian Super Cup, a football match contested by the winners of the 2015–16 Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 and 2015–16 Algerian Cup competitions. The Championnat National 2, commonly known as National 2 and formerly known as Championnat de France Amateur (CFA), is a football league competition. The league serves as the fourth tier of the French football league system behind Ligue 1, Ligue 2, and the Championnat National. Stade Brestois 29 or simply Brest, is a French football club based in Brest. It was founded in 1950 following the merger of five local patronages, including Armoricaine de Brest, founded in 1903. In its early years, the club made a rapid rise in the hierarchy of regional football, to the point of being promoted to the French Amateur Championship, the third level of French football, in 1958.
