The 2016–17 First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the twenty-second season of the First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the second tier football league of Bosnia and Herzegovina, since its original establishment and the seventeenth as a unified federation-wide league. It began on 6 August 2016 and ended on 3 June 2017. Metalleghe-BSI were the last champions, having won their first championship title in the 2015–16 season and earning a promotion to Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. First League Of The Federation Of Bosnia And Herzegovina
The m:tel First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina ( sh-Latn-Cyrl, m:tel Prva liga Federacije Bosne i Hercegovine, м:тел Прва лига Федерације Босне и Херцеговине) is a football league in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Together with the First League of the Republika Srpska, it forms the second level of football in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The league consists of 16 teams. Each team plays a total of 30 games during the course of a regular season, twice each team (once at home and once away). The league champion is promoted to the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Relegated teams fall to the Second League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The number of relegated clubs depends on how many teams will enter the competition - Four winners of the third level leagues (Second league) and clubs relegated from the Premier League. HNK Orašje
HNK Orašje is a professional association football club from the town of Orašje that is situated in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club was founded in 1996, being one of the newest to play in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Orašje plays its home matches on the Gradski Stadion ("City Stadium"), which has a capacity of 3,000 seats. The team's colours are red and white. The club currently plays in the First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Banovići ( sr-cyrl, Бановићи) is a town and municipality located in Tuzla Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Gračanica is a city located in Tuzla Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Otoka Stadium (''Stadion Otoka'' / Стадион Отока) is a football (soccer), football stadium in Otoka, Sarajevo, Otoka neighborhood of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ilidža
Ilidža ( sr-cyrl, Илиџа, ) is a town and a municipality located in Sarajevo Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has a total population of 66,730 with 63,528 in Ilidža itself, and is a chief suburb of Sarajevo and ''de facto'' its neighborhood. Fudbalski klub Velež Mostar ( sh-Cyrl, Фудбалски клуб Beлеж Мостар; English: Football club Velež Mostar) is a professional football club based in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club has a history of being one of the most successful clubs from Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was founded on 26 June 1922. The club currently plays at Rođeni Stadium (7,000 capacity), but its historic stadium is the Bijeli Brijeg (9,000 capacity). Due to the divisions between Bosniak and Croat territories, Velež lost its previous home ground of Bijeli Brijeg.
