The Inter Baku 2016–17 season was Inter Baku's sixteenth Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their second season under manager Zaur Svanadze. They finished the season in third place, and were knocked out of the Azerbaijan Cup at the semifinal stage by Gabala. Shamakhi FK ( az, Şamaxı Futbol Klubu, ) is an Azerbaijani professional football club based in Shamakhi, that currently competes in the Azerbaijan Premier League. The club has won the Premier League title twice. History Early years (1997–2004) The club has been functioning since 1997, initially as an amateur side that shared its name with Khazar University, the first private university in Azerbaijan, which founded the club. In 1999, Khazar University began to play in the Azerbaijan Premier League, finishing eleventh. In subsequent years, Inter finished in 7th place (2000/01 season) and 3rd place (2003–04 season). In the 2003–04 season the team finished in fourth place, thereby qualifying for the UEFA Intertoto Cup for the first time. Kamran Aghayev
Kamran Aghayev ( az, Kamran Ağayev; born on 9 February 1986) is a retired Azerbaijani football goalkeeper. During his professional career, Agayev played in national leagues of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Portugal and Czech Republic. He was also a member of Azerbaijan national football team and is the third most-capped player in the history of the team with 79 games. Widely recognized as one of the best goalkeepers in the history of Azerbaijan, he was selected as the Azerbaijani Footballer of the Year in 2008 and goalkeeper of the year in 2009, 2011 and 2012. TSG Neustrelitz is a German association football club from Neustrelitz, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Ilter Tashkin
Ilter Tashkin, also spelled as Taşkın İlter, (born on 5 July 1994 in Berlin) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Turkish club Eyüpspor. Born in Germany, he represents the Azerbaijan national team. Career After playing for various youth teams in his hometown of Berlin, Tashkin joined the U19 side of Eintracht Braunschweig during the winter break of the 2012–13 season. Ravan Baku FK ( az, Rəvan Futbol Klubu) is an Azerbaijani football club, based in Baku, that plays in the Azerbaijan First Division. History The club was founded in 2009. In May 2011, team secured their promotion to Azerbaijan Premier League after clinching second place in Azerbaijan First Division. Aghabala Ramazanov (born 20 January 1993) is an Azerbaijani professional footballer who plays as a forward for Azerbaijan Premier League club Sabail. He is the brother of Zaur Ramazanov. Asociația Fotbal Club Astra Giurgiu (), commonly known as Astra Giurgiu or simply Astra, was a Romanian football club based in the city of Giurgiu, Giurgiu County.
