2016–17 Detroit Titans Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Detroit Titans men's basketball team, also known as Detroit Mercy, represented the University of Detroit Mercy during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Titans, led by first-year head coach Bacari Alexander, played their home games at Calihan Hall as members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 8–23, 6–12 in Horizon League play to finish in seventh place. As the No. 7 seed in the Horizon League tournament, they lost to Milwaukee in the first round. Previous season The Titans finished the 2015–16 season 16–15, 9–9 in Horizon League play to finish in sixth place. They defeated Youngstown State in the Rirst Round of the Horizon League tournament to advance to the Second Round where they lost to Wright State. On April 1, 2016, head coach Ray McCallum was fired. Bacari Alexander
Bacari Torrell Alexander (born September 15, 1976) is an American college basketball coach, formerly the men's basketball head coach at Detroit Mercy. He is a former assistant coach at Michigan, Western Michigan, Ohio, and Detroit Mercy. At Michigan, Alexander was responsible for coaching the team's post players, developing defensive strategies, scouting opponents and on-court coaching. In six seasons as an assistant coach under Michigan head coach John Beilein, Michigan advanced to the NCAA tournament each year, won Big Ten Conference regular season championships in 2012 and 2014 and appeared in the Elite 8 in 2014 and the National Championship in 2013. Paris Bass (born August 29, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for the Suwon KT Sonicboom of the Korean Basketball League (KBL). He played college basketball for the Detroit Mercy Titans. High school career Bass attended Seaholm High School (Head Coach Jose Andrades) in Birmingham, Michigan . Colorado Buffaloes Men's Basketball
The Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team represents the University of Colorado Boulder. The team competes in the Pac-12 Conference of NCAA Division I. They are currently coached by Tad Boyle. The Buffaloes have competed in fourteen NCAA Tournaments, making it to the Final Four in 1942 and 1955. Colorado has played in nine National Invitation Tournaments, winning the tournament in 1940 and making the semi-finals in 1991 and 2011. Michigan Wolverines Men's Basketball
The Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team is the College basketball, intercollegiate men's basketball program representing the University of Michigan. The school competes in the Big Ten Conference in NCAA Division I, Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Michigan Wolverines, Wolverines play home basketball games at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
