2016 Escape From Bangui
On 12 August 2016 35 ex- Séléka fighters escaped besieged PK5 district in Bangui and after travelling more than 600 km and clashing multiple times with security forces some of them managed to reach rebel-controlled towns of Kaga-Bandoro and N'Délé, some were killed and 11 were arrested and sentenced to life in prison. Background Events In the late evening of 12 August 2016, a convoy of seven vehicles (four pick-ups, two cars and his own company vehicle), with 35 heavily armed men from the PK5 neighbourhood in Bangui's 3rd district and the BSS camp aboard, left Bangui. N'Délé
N'Délé or Ndele is a market town and sub prefecture in the north eastern Central African Republic, lying east of the Bamingui-Bangoran National Park. Ndélé is the capital of Bamingui-Bangoran, one of the 14 prefectures of the Central African Republic. N'Délé had a population of 10,850 as of the 2003 census; and a calculated 2013 population of 13,704. History The ''tata'', or fortified wall, creates a citadel-like palace on a hill overlooking N'Délé. It was constructed at the behest of Sultan Mohammed al-Sanussi of Dar al Kuti in the late 19th century. Herbert Gontran Djono Ahaba (born 7 February 1974) is a Central African politician from Vakaga Prefecture who is currently serving as a minister of transport and civil aviation. Early life and education Djono was born on 7 February 1974 in Birao. His father, Djouma Abdassid, was a Water and Forestry Service officer. Noureddine Adam
Noureddine Adam (born 1970) is the leader of the Central African rebel group, the Popular Front for the Rebirth of Central African Republic (FPRC) in the Central African Republic Civil War. Early career An ethnic Runga, he was born in 1970 in N'Délé. His father was an imam who served as the leader of the Muslim community in Miskine neighborhood of Bangui. His mother was a Chadian. After completing secondary school, Adam was trained in Sudan and then in Egypt, where he graduated from the police academy in Cairo in the 1990s after spending 10 years in Egypt. After that, he was trained by the Israeli Special Forces for six months and then settled for a year in Bangui where he was assigned to the Central Office for the Suppression of Banditism (OCRB). Kaga-Bandoro
Kaga-Bandoro is a market town and capital of the Nana-Grébizi prefecture of the Central African Republic. It represents the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kaga–Bandoro. History On 25 December 2012 rebels from Séléka coalition took control of Kaga-Bandoro. On 14 December 2015 rebels announced independence of Republic of Logone in Kaga-Bandoro. In September 2016 Kaga-Bandoro was reported to be under joint control of MPC and FPRC armed groups. Abdoulaye Hissène is a Central African warlord, general in the Popular Front for the Rebirth of Central African Republic (FPRC), former minister of youth, sanctioned by international institutions for committing multiple war crimes.
