2016 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup
The 2016 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the 15th edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament. It was held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from 2 July to 10 July. Twelve teams competed in the tournament, won by the Dominican Republic when they defeated 3-2 to Puerto Rico. The United States claimed the bronze medal and Dominican Republic athlete Brayelin Martínez was awarded Most Valuable Player. Micha Hancock
Micha Danielle Hancock (born November 10, 1992) is an American indoor volleyball player for the United States women's national volleyball team. Hancock played setter for the Penn State women's volleyball team, and won back-to-back national championships in 2013 and 2014. Hancock won gold with the national team at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. Career High school Hancock played volleyball for Edmond Memorial High School in Edmond, Oklahoma. Kenny Moreno Pino (born January 6, 1979, in Turbo, Antioquia) is a volleyball player and coach from Colombia, who won with her team the bronze medal at the 2005 Bolivarian Games. Karina Ocasio Clemente (born August 1, 1985) is a volleyball player from Puerto Rico, who competed for the Women's National Team at the 2008 Olympic Qualification Tournament in Japan. Madi Kingdon (born April 20, 1993) is an American indoor volleyball player. She is a member of Chieri '76 Volleyball Club. She attended the University of Arizona, where she received both AVCA Indoor and AVCA Sand All-American honors. Alexandra Miryec Muñoz Lurita (born August 16, 1992) is a Peruvian volleyball player who has represented her country at the 2010 Youth Olympics where she helped her team win a Bronze Medal. She is currently the starting setter for the Peru national team. Jineiry Martínez (born December 3, 1997, in Santo Domingo) is a Dominican volleyball player who played the 2015 FIVB World Cup with the Dominican Republic national team. She won the bronze medal in the 2015 Pan American Games.
