2016 Winter Cup
The 2016 Winter Cup was an artistic gymnastics competition held at the Cashman Center in Las Vegas from February 18 to February 20, 2016. Competition The finals session featured the top 42 gymnasts according to their all-around ranking and the top three gymnasts on each apparatus. The all-around and individual event champions were determined via a combined two-day score. Performances at the Winter Cup helped determine eight men who comprised the United States men's national gymnastics team at the 2016 U.S. National Gymnastics Championships. The Winter Cup is an annual winter gymnastics meet for elite artistic gymnasts of the United States. History The first edition of the Winter Cup was held in 1997 and was initially a men's artistic gymnastics competition. Women competed at the event for the first time in 2021. Joshua Dixon (gymnast)
Joshua Dixon (baptised 1743, died 1825) was an English physician and biographer. Life Dixon was baptised in Whitehaven, Cumberland in 1743. In 1764 he went to Liverpool, to work for the apothecary Edward Parr. Dixon took the degree of M.D. at the University of Edinburgh in 1768. He subsequently practiced as a physician in Whitehaven. There in 1783 he helped establish the dispensary, and then ran it. Dixon died on 7 January 1825. Works At graduation, Dixon's dissertation was ''De Febre Nervosa''. He wrote tracts and essays, acknowledged and anonymous. His major work is ''The Literary Life of William Brownrigg, M.D., F.R.S.'' Marvin Kimble
Marvin Kimble (born October 27, 1995) is an American artistic gymnast. In 2015, Kimble and Jossimar Calvo of Colombia won the gold medal in the men's pommel horse event at the 2015 Pan American Games held in Toronto, Canada. Gymnastics career Kimble competed at the 2015 Winter Cup where he won gold on rings, silver on pommel horse and bronze on parallel bars. He competed at the 2016 Winter Cup where he won bronze on horizontal bar. He again competed at the 2018 Winter Cup where he won gold on vault and silver in the all-around. In 2018, he won the gold medal in the men's pommel horse event at the 2018 Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships held in Medellín, Colombia. Yul Kyung-Tae Moldauer (born August 26, 1996) is an American artistic gymnast. He is the 2017 U.S. national all-around champion and the 2017 World bronze medalist on floor exercise. He represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Early life and education Moldauer was born in Seoul, South Korea on August 16, 1996 and named Kyung-Tae. Before he was a year old, Peter Moldauer adopted him and named him Yul after the actor Yul Brynner. Because his biological mother was chemically dependent, his adoptive father was told he might not develop into a "productive adult." Moldauer has three siblings, Leah, Sorcha and Sundo.
