The season began on 20 March 2015 and concluded on 27 September 2015 with the 2015 WAFL Grand Final between and at Domain Stadium. Subiaco won the match by 66 points, recording their second consecutive premiership and 13th overall. For the first time since 1994, the finals series was based on a top-5, rather than the top 4 system that has been used since 1931, with the exception of 1991–1994. Tendai Mzungu
Tendai Mzungu (born 28 February 1986) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Fremantle Football Club and Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). Mzungu represented the Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) before being recruited to Fremantle at the end of the 2010 season, and made his debut for the club the following season. Career Born in Melbourne to a Zimbabwean father and an Australian mother, Mzungu moved to Perth, Western Australia, at the age of nine. He attended Kent Street Senior High School, and played amateur football for the Trinity Aquinas Football Club. Falling into the Perth Football Club's recruitment zone in the WAFL, Mzungu made his senior debut for the club in 2006. Domain Stadium
Subiaco Oval (; nicknamed Subi) was a sports stadium in Perth, Western Australia, located in the suburb of Subiaco. It was opened in 1908 and closed in 2017 after the completion of the new Perth Stadium in Burswood. Subiaco Oval was the highest capacity stadium in Western Australia and one of the main stadiums in Australia, with a final capacity of 43,500 people. It began as the home ground for the Subiaco Football Club and from the 1930s onward was the home of Australian rules football in Western Australia. It hosted the annual grand final of the West Australian Football League (WAFL), with the ground record attendance of 52,781 set at the 1979 Grand Final. Rory O'Brien (Australian Rules Footballer)
Rory O'Brien (born 28 June 1986) is an Australian rules footballer currently playing for the Peel Thunder Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). He is the older brother of Brock O'Brien. O'Brien made his league debut for Peel Thunder in round 1 of the 2005 season and was voted the club's best and fairest player in 2006. He spent the 2008 season at North Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League, before returning to Peel Thunder in 2009. After winning Peel's best and fairest award for a second time in 2010, he transferred to East Fremantle for the 2011 season. 2011 also saw O'Brien make his state debut for Western Australia. Ryan Nyhuis
Ryan Nyhuis (born 6 September 1996) is a professional Australian rules footballer who last played for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Drafted with the 34th selection in the 2016 rookie draft from the Nightcliff Football Club in the Northern Territory Football League (NTFL) and the Northern Territory Football Club in the North East Australian Football League (NEAFL), he played for Peel Thunder in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), Fremantle's reserve team during the 2016 season, including the club's first ever WAFL premiership. Alex Silvagni
Alex Silvagni (born 29 September 1987) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Fremantle and Carlton Football Clubs in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early career Silvagni did not play in the TAC Cup as a junior, but instead played for his school, Haileybury College winning a premiership in his final year in 2005. He joined the Casey Scorpions in the Victorian Football League in 2006, winning selection in the VFL's under-23 team. Matthew de Boer (born 10 March 1990) is an Australian rules footballer with the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). After representing Western Australia at the 2008 AFL Under 18 Championships and being named in the under 18 All-Australian team, de Boer was drafted to Fremantle in the 2008 AFL draft, 2009 rookie draft with Fremantle's second selection, number 19 overall. Ed Langdon (born 1 February 1996) is an Australian rules footballer who currently plays for the Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Langdon participated in the Auskick program at Glen Iris, Victoria. He played his junior football with the Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup.
