The 2016 Campeonato Nacional Clausura Scotiabank was the 98th Chilean Primera División, Chilean League top flight, in which Club Deportivo Universidad Católica, Universidad Católica won its 11th league title. Scores Standings Liguilla Pre-Copa Sudamericana Following the conclusion of the regular season, the teams placed 2nd to 5th qualify for the Liguilla in order to determine the "Chile 2" spot to the 2016 Copa Sudamericana. However, teams that already played the 2016 Copa Libertadores (from second stage onwards) and both finalists of 2015 Copa Chile, Copa Chile are ineligible to compete in the Liguilla. Chilean Primera División
The Chilean Primera División (English: First Division) is the top-tier league of the Chilean football league system. It is organized by the ''Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional, ANFP''. The league is known as the Campeonato AFP PlanVital for sponsorship reasons. Format As of the 2018 season, 16 teams compete in the league, playing against each other two times, home and away. Iquique
Iquique () is a port city and commune in northern Chile, capital of both the Iquique Province and Tarapacá Region. It lies on the Pacific coast, west of the Pampa del Tamarugal, which is part of the Atacama Desert. It has a population of 191,468 according to the 2017 census. Manuel Arturo Villalobos Salvo (born October 15, 1980) is a Chilean former footballer and current manager. Playing career Villalobos joined Colo-Colo's youth squad at the age of ten in 1990. In 1997, he made his professional debut. In 2000, he was loaned to Fernández Vial to gain more playing time and experience. During his time with Fernández Vial he was the second leading scorer of the Primera B (Chilean Second Division). After his impressive season Villalobos was loaned six months to Primera División (Chilean First Division) squad O'Higgins. He then spent the next six months with Deportes Talcahuano. 2015 Copa Chile
The 2015 Copa Chile, (officially known as ''Copa Chile MTS 2015'' because of its sponsorship), was the 36th edition of the Copa Chile, the country's national cup tournament. The competition started on July 8, 2015 with the First Round and concluded on December 2, 2015 with the Final. The winner qualifies for the 2016 Copa Libertadores and the 2016 Supercopa de Chile. The 2016 Copa Libertadores de América (officially the 2016 Copa Bridgestone Libertadores for sponsorship reasons) was the 57th edition of the Copa Libertadores de América, South America's premier club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. In the finals, Colombian club Atlético Nacional defeated Ecuadorian club Independiente del Valle by an aggregate score of 2–1 to win their second tournament title in team history and qualify for the 2016 FIFA Club World Cup in Japan, their first appearance in the FIFA Club World Cup.
